Ever seen people deliberately avoid helping on objectives?

the point of kiting is to drag the enemies away not allow them to respawn in another area.

It also means there will always be at least one player alive when that swarm of enemies does wipe the area out. They can either clear the area & revive the rest of the team then or lure the enemies away so one of the downed players can revive themselves & the other two.
With Escort it's a bit more beneficial to have everyone in (or at least near) the circle. Even then though, it's useful to have one person take point for a few seconds to survey the area, or another to drop back for a bit to keep the enemies off your back. Even with two people though Escorts usually don't take too long (shorter than the area hack I believe).
I know when I'm playing my Demolisher I'll run a short distance ahead of the drone so I can drop a Pylon and start weakning anything in front of us. This will replenish my grenades and give us a shield recharge station in our pathway just in case something flanks us.

in gold and platinum.. they can get brutal.
Not that it matters a whole lot in most cases, because they'll just respawn right next to the hack unless the guy kiting is actively blocking a spawn.
I have yet to play a PUG where the guy herping and derping around outside of the hack zone even knows how the spawns work.
and?
better to have them respawn constantly in one side and avoid them from swamping the guys hacking or doing objectives..
You dont seem to have encountered a bulk of Primes, pyros and everything in the same place.. because all guys decided to go to the objetive zone?
Except they only respawn on one side if the guy is blocking the other spawn. That rarely happens. What usually happens is the guy leads a few enemies away from the hack, kills them, and then they respawn right back on top of the team, because the ****** didn't think to block the spawn while he was slowing down the hack.
Getting swarmed is only ever an issue if the team isn't doing enough damage, or can't control the enemies. When I'm playing with other intelligent players, it doesn't happen too often. It's kind of hard to get swarmed by Geth Primes when at least one guy on the team is capable of killing a Geth Prime in a few seconds. It's nigh impossible to get swarmed by Pyros when 1 or 2 guys with Scorpions can stunlock groups of them.

I'm with Ashen Earth here. Most of the times the respawn on Platinum happens right where is the hacking and the drone, even more if it is wave 10. I'd rather have everyone together than people running through the map alone. And lets face it, from all the publics match I participate, 90% of those that run from these missions so they can kill the enemies ends on the other side of the map and eventually falls.JohnDoe wrote...

Edit: I guess I don't have to mention that they rarely uses medigel when this happens...

Indeed. No, I tend to just vacate the circle if I'm the target of masses of Banshees or something else which might swamp the hack zone. Pretty much just a Reapers thing.DnVill wrote...
The "kiting" excuse isn't vaild if you're just killing them.

Yes sometimes. Was playing a game on Silver/Glacier a while back for lulz, got a hack in the bottom room. I went straight to it, nobody else helped for even one second. They all just charged around killing stuff. At one stage I considered leaving the hack area and letting the mission fail (wave 6 I think) but decided not to.
Did you use your mic? As in, "BTW, it's a hack round."

Nope because Origin was being retarded at the time and not recognising it. <_<

Yeah, most of the time it's after the fact BS or a rationalization, not a real tactic.

...but the good part is that person will draw a little bit of aggro off of the rest of us, until he goes down at least. But I'm not running across the map to pick him up.
That goes double on platinum/gold games where there are two banshees on the field. I have seen N7 fury players kite them all over the map....that player was awesome.

Did that once. I was so tired of those that don't help that I decided to stop the hack. I don't feel guilty about it though.Lord_Sirian wrote...

Here I was on a Gold, Firebase Reactor, Geth, Wave 6.
I ran to the area to start the hack and found myself alone. Waited, waited and waited. The other 3 players scattered through the map and was falling one after another. Eventually the area I was got swarmed by hunter and pyro. I couldn't defend myself so I got down. Used medigel after sometime and found out that the 3 players hadn't moved from their positions. Waited a long more and another respawn happened close to the hacking area.
I was so frustrated that decided to not complete the hack. Since this is a team work game and those players didn't want to play as a team, I decided to join them. They want to kill, yeah, lets kill.
When one of them found out that I stopped the hack, tried to run to the area, but it was too late. Mission Failed!
