Skip the ''Italic'' section to just jump right at my fanfic without reading my author's note.

Hi all. It'll be easy to notice that I'm new to this forum. Actually, new to this whole site. But this isn't the appropiate time or section in which to discuss this. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Anyhow, upon completing Mass Effect 2 and 3 several times and countless hours of thinking about that ending, I've finally decided to come up with what one might call an ''Extended Extended Cut'' ending. I came up with this for myself, to consider my Shepard's ending. Now, I didn't really think the ending was amazing but what I did like is how open-ended it was left. Leaves a lot of room for you to come up with what your Shepard does next. That's exactly what I did. It's a massive read so I'd advise you either just read your favorite ending, your own Paragon/Renegade choices and investage only what you're actually interested in.

Also, so that regardless of what your favorite ending was I took the liberty of making this ''Extended Extended Cut'' for ALL three endings. These endings would take place after the ''Extended Cut'' slideshow. The Destroy one takes place right after Shepard's breath. I also tried to avoid using ''he'' or ''she'' so that this can be applied to both FemSheps and ManSheps. Also, some characters from ME2 will have certain ''spotlights'', if that character was dead in your playthrough, simply skip its dialogue.

Aaaaand, one more thing: so that each ending is fitting to each Paragon/Renegade Shepard one might have, whenever Shepard talks ''investigate'' dialogue will be in the color orange, paragon options will be in blue and renegade options in red. Hope you like it!

Destroy Ending

The Reapers have been destroyed. But at great cost... All synthetic life was said to be wiped out. However, Shepard knew the consequences. Shepard had a mission. Shepard was assigned to destroy the Reapers and that's exactly what was done... no matter the cost. As the Crucible fired, Shepard had alread come to accept death. Shepard had come a long way, and it was finally time to rest in peace knowing the Reaper threat is no more.

As the Citadel was getting completely annihilated, it suddenly hit Shepard... ''I can't die here''. No, it was more of a ''I WONT die here''. The world was never going to be completely safe. Especially not after the Reaper threat. The reapercussions of the war could cause even more wars, perhaps even bloodier. Shepard couldn't die there. As Shepard fell from the Citadel, as he felt his life fading away, he clinged to the last bit of life he had in him... and that was enough.

Shepard slammed into Earth, hitting the ground roughly. Shepard's conscience faded to black. Was Shepard dying? Right at that moment, an image came into Shepard's mind. It was Legion. Did Legion sacrifice himself just so that Shepard could undo it so simply, destroying absolutely all of the Geth? Shepard took a breath. And shortly after, took another. And another. And another. Shepard was getting his conscience back. Shepard opened his eyes slowly, and a white light was shining. A geth? It was a geth! The Geth was slowly taking all of Earth's rubble off of Shepard. Suddenly, Shepard passed out once again.

Shepard woke up in a familiar-looking place. ''Please, stay still Commander...'' said a familiar female voice. Shepard recognized it right at that instant. It was Dr. Chakwas. Shepard was aboard the Normandy. Shepard rose from the bed, and looked at his surroundings. Around him were but Chakwas and the Geth that had initially found Shepard. ''Oh God Commander, it's so good to see you!'' said Chakwas, with tears coming out of her eyes.

How... What's a Geth doing here?''

''What do you mean, Commander?'' said Chakwas, obviously confused. ''You ended the Reaper threat, you became a hero and on top of that you're finally back. If it wasn't for this Geth, you might as well be dead, Commander.'' she explained. ''But how is that Geth still alive?'' asked Shepard. ''Why wouldn't it be, Commander?'' asked Chakwas. ''What's gotten into you?'' she said, a bit worried. Ah, yes... Chakwas couldn't possibly know that ''Destroying'' the Reapers also meant destroying the Geth. Simple, really; she wasn't there.

How did I get here? How am I alive?

''This Geth found you laying in some rubble back at Earth and carried your body all the way to the closest Alliance outpost. You were given medical care there. We had to flee the scene back th-'' Chakwas was interrupted by Shepard. ''Wait a minute, you had to flee the scene back then? How long has it been?'' asked Shepard. ''It's been about five months. This sounds very familiar, doesn't it?'' Chakwas said, chuckling slightly. Shepard couldn't help but grin slightly. ''You were saying?'' Shepard said. ''Ah, yes. Back then, Joker hesitated to leave the scene. It took a lot of convincing to get him to go... And a lot of willpower to let you go, as well, Commander.'' Chakwas explained. ''We landed on an uncharted planet, or I'd assume so. There were no settlements whatsoever. Luckily, the Normandy was barely damaged and could quickly be rebuilt. We did all we could to get it back to shape and eventually left the planet. That's when we were contacted by Admiral Hackett. When he said you were alive, fire burned in all of the crew's eyes. They were glad their Commander was back.'' Chakwas continued. ''You looked pretty bad back when we picked you up. The Alliance did all they could to keep your life signs up, and it was up to me to try and bring you back. You looked really bad when we picked you up. We heard from Admiral Hackett that you had fallen all the way from the Citadel to Earth... I always wondered how you could've survived. Reports from the Alliance had no such information, but mere theories as to how you could've survived. I'd recommend you talk to the Geth that found you about this. It hasn't even talked since it brought you to the Alliance outpost.

Where's the crew?

''Not everyone is here, Commander. But once I run some final tests on you, you can go ahead and visit them in their quarters. They'll be very happy to see you. But please, Commander... Do be careful. You're not fully healed yet.'' Chakwas said.

It's great to be back, Doctor. Shepard shakes hands with the Doctor.

''Now, Commander I wouldn't recommend drinking alcohol just yet but I we had agreed on opening a bottle of brandy after every victory... And this is the biggest so far. When you're feeling better, we can go ahead and have that bottle of brandy.'' Chakwas said playfully. ''It's a deal, doctor.'' Shepard said, smiling. Shepard nodded at the geth, and the geth nodded at Shepard in return, leaving the med bay. Shepard left shortly thereafter.

Get all of this stuff off of me, doctor. I want to see my crew.

Ah, yes. They'll be very happy to see you Commander. You may go see them now, but I would advise you to be extremely careful. Don't move your body too much. Shepard was walking out the med bay. ''By the way Commander! I've got a bottle of Serrice Ice Brandy in the cooler waiting to be opened for when you feel better!'' she said. Shepard left the med-bay. Shepard went off to talk to his crew.

Garrus

The doors to the main battery opened, Garrus was working on the main battery and didn't seem to notice Shepard come in. Shepard leaned against the wall a bit. ''Garrus.'' he said with a grin. Garrus turned around as quick as possible, immeadiately recognizing that voice. ''Shepard!'' he shouted, running towards Shepard. ''It's damn good to see you Shepard!

Hug Garrus

''I seriously thought you were dead, Shepard'' said Garrus. Shepard and Garrus stop hugging, and Garrus continues. ''I should've known that if the Collectors couldn't stop you, then the Reapers sure as hell weren't going to.'' Garrus laughed. Shepard could see faint tears coming out of Garrus' eyes. ''It's a hell of a thing coming back to life. But coming back to life twice? That's something only the Shepard I know can do.'' Garrus laughed. The tears in his eyes weren't so faint anymore. Garrus was crying. ''Listen, uhm, Shepard... It's good to have you back.'' said Garrus, wiping the tears off his face. He was slightly embarrassed. Shepard smiled. ''The others will want to see you as well, so I shouldn't keep you here any longer.'' Garrus said.

Give Garrus a Handshake

''Shepard!'' Garrus exclaimed, firmly shaking Shepard's hand. ''I wonder how many damn lives you have, Shepard.'' Garrus said, smiling. Tears were coming out of Garrus' eyes. ''Shepard... It's good to see you...'' Garrus said, faintly. ''Now we can settle who's the better shot while we kick some more ass, just like old times Shepard.'' Garrus said, chuckling. ''I shouldn't keep you here any more, though. The rest of the crew wants to see you.'' Garrus gave Shepard another handshake, and Shepard left the Main Battery.

Liara

Shepard walked inside Liara's quarters, only to find the room empty. Shepard took the liberty of looking at her personal desk, and it was filled with pictures of Shepard. There were hundreds of video files of the crew's good times stored in her computer, presumably downloaded from the Shadow Broker's database. ''Shepard...'' said a faint, sweet voice. Shepard turned around, to find Liara walking in the quarters. ''Shepard!'' she ran at Shepard, giving Shepard an amazingly tight hug. ''Shepard... I'm sorry I couldn't be there when you needed me most... I'm so sorry...'' she sobbed into Shepard's shoulder. ''I should've accompanied you, fought the Reapers and destroyed them with you, but instead I stayed behind. I promise you that will never happen again, Shepard.'' Liara sobbed, hugging Shepard more tightly.

Liara, listen. You and everyone else on this ship... You're all my crew. I'm not going to throw away your lives just like that. I gave you an order. I told you to stay behind. You followed that order and knowing that you did... Let's just say I could've died peacefully just then...

''When I heard you were dead, I wasn't sure I could keep living on. I got so used to having this ''Commander Shepard'' at my side that I was completely lost when you were gone. It's so good to see you again, Shepard...'' Liara sobbed into Shepard's shoulder some more. She finally let go. ''By the way, EDI really wanted to see you. You should go see her. We can catch up later.'' said Liara. And with that, Shepard left Liara's quarters and went off to see EDI. But wait... EDI?

I'm disappointed. But what matters is that I'm here now. And I don't plan on dying again.

''I don't plan on letting you die again, Shepard. You have my word.'' Liara said, letting go of Shepard. ''I'm so glad to have you back Shepard. I'm not sure what was going to be of me back when you were said to be dead. I'm here whenever you need me, Shepard.'' Liara said, hugging Shepard once more. ''Oh and EDI wanted to see you. She's been asking about you ever since we put you aboard the Normandy.'' Liara explained. Shepard then left Liara's quarters to go see EDI. But wait... EDI?

Ok guys, I'll keep adding conversations until I've covered every squad member, including the characters from Mass Effect 2. I am aware of certain plotholes as to, say, how Shepard is still alive. It'll be explained when I continue the story, as will every other plothole. Once I finish the Destroy Ending I'll work on the Control Ending, and then finally I'll do Synthesis. I'll try to finish these as fast as I can, but I'll also try to keep everything as good and plothole-less (lol?) as I can. Please leave feedback!
