I was just wondering how this works, considering I read somewhere that BioWare says to hang onto ME3 saves.

Basically, if I completed 1 ME3 playthrough with one character, and then started a newgame+ campaign with the same character, do all my storyline/plot decisions from my first playthrough get erased?

For example, What happens if i do the above, and then never complete the 2nd ng+ playthrough? What happens in that situation if another futer ME game can import save files?  Do my decisions from my first playthrough get carried over, or overwritten by my current uncompleted playthrough?

I think the autosave rewrites but any manual save is up to you of course.

And as for NG+ you chooose which completed game (if you have more than one) to play again.
