Feros dlc Outline
(For all intents and purposes in this rundown- Shiala is alive)

Mission Beginning:

After you receive the ANN Alert: “Reaper” informing you of the events on Feros, EDI tells you that there is an incoming message available on vid comm. It’s Shiala and she informs you that the colonists on Zhu’s Hope made a discovery in the Prothean ruins. A science team was sent down there to investigate but she lost communication. With reaper forces in the area she asks for help in saving them.

Return to Feros:

You then head to Feros and meet Shiala at Zhu’s hope. She tells you that the science team hasn’t been heard from for a couple days but from what they found it is an old prothean research facility studying the Thorian to find a way to fight indoctrination. Shiala joins you on the mission and leads you to the prothean skyway leading to the ExoGeni headquarters in the Mako (yay Mako!). After running over husks and blowing up marauders you reach  the end of the highway and have to fight against a harvester.

ExoGeni:

Once you fight your way across the skyway you reach the ExoGeni headquarters you exit the Mako and travel down through the lower levels of the building with Shiala and 1 other squadmate (Javik possibly) and Shiala tells you that when reapers hit the colony the ExoGeni headquarters was destroyed and while searching for survivors in the rubble they dug through to a lower trench and discovered an area of the prothean ruins with information about the Thorian’s mind control. vs reaper indoctrination and a team volunteered to stay and analyze it. You fight your way through the damaged building and reach a set of tunnels (similar to those in ME1 where you had to turn on the water valves and kill the alpha varren).

Metropolis Ruins:

On your way toward the research station you have to fight your way through more reaper forces and you find Gavin Hossle (ExoGeni scientist from ME1). He tells you that the research station was overwhelmed by reaper forces and he volunteered to run for help. Lizbeth Baynham was in charge of the science team and she believes she found something in the data. He dies from injuries sustained against the reapers and you continue on your way to the research station.

https://lh5.googleus...hdmylXGn7-75dx8

Research Station:

You find the station that the colonists found. You search the area and find Lizbeth and her team in hiding. She tells you that from what she found the Protheans were searching for a way to use the Thorian’s powers to fight reaper indoctrination but where they manipulated the Thorian’s mind control technique to connect their minds and drown out the reapers calls. During the conversation reaper forces start to break through. You kill them and return to the Normandy.

During the conversation you will have the option to ask her if she would like to come to your cabin. She will say yes and then when you return to the Normandy you will have a scene in your cabin where you can start a romance with Shiala. A romance scene will take place and then she says that she must stay behind and help Feros but she will return when it is time to retake Earth.

I liked Shiala. I'll buy it, I need the 100 EMS to unlock Synthesis.

Meh, I never really like the Feros mission in ME1, but I'd probably buy this anyways...

Feros was my favorite after Ilos. Good memories of playing that while Thanksgiving food was cooking.

I prefer Virmire the most out of the "regular" missions.  Cruisin' on the beach in the Mako was awesome. (It was the only time I liked the Mako, probably cuz there were no hills :P)

I would hop out of the mako nonstop and snipe those balloon things you can find there just like eden prime. My sniper rifle said like 300 meters on average then

EMS is worthless. Shiala as full squadmate, more guns and armor, several missions, maybe involve the Collectors and turn them into a MP enemy faction.

I'd pay all sorts of cash for that.

Virmire's probably my 3rd favorite, although Noveria is close. And flat terrain was much easier to negotiate with the Mako, that helps a lot, although IIRC the Feros section was pretty fun. At least I enjoyed it.

Shiala has a decent fanbase I believe. and they do need a way to tie in the collectors if they want MP

I'd played 1 recently, and the mountain levels weren't that bad, although the Mako was certainly harder to handle than I remember.

they hinted at her as a LI in ME2, and the MP isn't really canon so Collectors can work anyway, and I really doubt every single Collector was at the base

Is that the planet where you use the Shiara trinket on the Prothean Orb?  I remember there being a sh*t-ton of mountains on that one. :pinched:

Well, it was mentioned in the codex that Collectors were being used on Palaven, so it wouldn't be hard.

Also, getting Shiala as a squadmate would be a sufficient award for letting her live in ME1 (and she could be present if you play ME3 default, or even a default ME2 import seeing as she's never mentioned. She would need dialogue to reflect this, however.) It would at least feel like our choices matter in that regard.

EDIT: Also, am I the only one that loved the Mako to death? Sure, it was a bit clunky, but it traversed tough terrain like it wasn't even an issue, and it was multitudes of fun ramming headstrong into a Colossus and smashing it to death.

Shiala as a full teammate plus creepy horror themed mission = Bioware can charge me $20 dollars and I don't give a flying ****.

I really think this could be the next dlc after leviathan and omega. it gives you a new popular squadmate, return to Zhu's Hope to help with having choices from the ME1 reflect the plot in ME3 (if you let the colonists live or just slaughtered your way to the thorian, if you let shiala live or not) and even go into the history of the protheans and cycles before that

Same, though, it technically applies to all of the ME1 missions with exception to Virmire and Ilos. There just wasn't the connection to make it interesting for me.

ME2 really fixed this by having Squadmates say a lot more about the situation and every mission revolve around characters. Made it a perfect game for me because there was plot, emotion, characters; the whole sh'bang.

ME3 gets a mix of this. Rannoch and Tuchanka are very character driven arcs. Tuchanka has Eve, Wrex, Mordin, Wreav, and the Primarch. Rannoch has Legion, Tali'Zorah, and the Admerals which were rather memorable from ME2.

However, a lot of the characters got sidelined and really sort of dropped off the face of the earth making ME3 the game I felt most alone on the Normandy during. No Thane. No Kasumi. No Miranda. No Samara. No Jack. No one. I was rather lonely there...
