ESPECIALLY Shiala! Story could use a little work, but you've really got something, here! Hope Bioware takes this into consideration...

Maybe Shiala can become a permanent squadmember afterwards?

Glad you like it. The outline in the OP can use a lot of work, it was just a quick first draft

Slowly. I was working on the Spectre one for a long time so I haven't edited this one too much recently

In case it doesn't happen in ME3, with a little tweaking this idea could work for ME4. It might even be better in a way because it will link the two stories together. Shiala is only around 200 now so she would just have entered the Matron stage, which is the only stage an asari squadmate has not been(Liara being Maiden & Samara Matriarch).

I'd love a 'Flashback' DLC, where you return to some of the planets from 1 & 2. A small mission on Feros, a small mission on Illium etc.

I don't see this happening, sad to say. Feros/Shiala is barely touched on by the time of ME2/ME3, making a full-fledged DLC out of something that, by default, is considered dead in a non-import playthrough doesn't seem likely to happen. Hell, the Rachni were barely used in ME2/ME3.

It was probably ignored because of the PS3 version. Now that they'll get ME1 too, we can (zhu's...) hope...but I don't think it's going to happen, after all, even on PS3, we didn't know that Shiala even existed, so they could have just as well made her pop in the DLC without people thinking "hey, I killed her !", but they didn't. I still like the idea though.

And sure, Shiala is yet another asari, but it's one of the few characters we've met who would be a credible squadmate. Though if Aria is a temp squadmate in the Omega DLC, there's no way we'll get another DLC with Shiala (but I wouldn't mind... everyone likes Asaris )

I do agree that it would have been very possible for her to become a squadmate but too many variables with her being alive or dead and if the colonists are alive or dead. I'll admit I made this dlc idea mostly for fun but also because I loved Shiala and would like to see her again but with Aria probably becoming a temp squadmate (not that I'm complainging, I love Aria) it won't be likely to ever happen for Shiala.

I'd definitelly like a Shiala DLC, and I'd pay double the standard DLC price if she had lots of conversation and was available as an LI as well!

I think Shiala not being a squadmember was a missed chance for both ME2 and ME3. We were constantly told that our decisions could have a lot of impact down the trilogy, and this is EXACTLY the type of impact I was hoping for. I really couldn't care if they had left out any of the galaxy-shaping decisions. It's exactly these more personal decisions that could've lifted the trilogy way beyond any other game available. And at the same time, such decisions wouldn't have messed up the IP so royally to make it hard to create a viable sequel. And I don't consider deciding on a canon ending to be viable.
Gladly there are very viable ways around the horrible canon idea to open up sequels again, but this mess hadn't been necessary in the first place if galaxy-impacting decisions had been left out in the first place.

Eh. Everyone just needs to look at what happened with the Rachni, which has way more consquences and morality attached to it and the subsequent outcome in ME3, i.e., very little before getting their hopes up for Shiala/Feros. If the Rachni barely amounted to a side-mission (they couldn't even get their OWN mission, they were thrown in with Grunt's cameo quest), I doubt Feros will ever see the light of day.
