I'm surprised I didn't find a topic related to this most annoying thing in the DA franchise, the cursor.

It's really annoying during cinematics, where I alwasy had to put the cursor at the bottom-right part of the screen, and keep it there, I always made conversations with the number (1.2.3.4.etc)

But in Dragon Age II they forced me to use the cursor for the dialogue wheel, and everytime I clicked in an option I had to put the cursor at the bottom part of the screen again, and again and again for every dialogue, I hope they change this in DAIII, It's not even too hard to do I'm sure, and it's something that is bothering me, and I'm sure many other people since 2009.

What is this "cursor" you speak of? My XBox 360 produces no such device.

Oh I forgot to mention that, it's only in the PC, the cursor, the mouse.

I know, I was teasing. :P

Oh, beloved, console, if you had a womanly form, I would make you my bride.

The PC verson of Dragon Age is far superior to the console version. Especially if you want to play DA2, no button mashing here.

I don't think there's anything you can do about the cursor, it happens in every video, just watch a fullscreen Youtube video. All you can do is move your cursor to the far side of you monitor.

Didn't they add console auto-attack in some patch later on?

I've never really noticed any particular problem with the cursor function. Perhaps I will be more observant the next time I play DA2. Certainly not to the severe degree as the OP anyway. o.O

Well, in retrospect, the cursor fades if we don't move it during cutscenes. I believe this effect takes place in about 2-3 seconds.

You can still use 1, 2, 3 and such for dialogue options. 1 does the first option on the right (generally diplomatic), 2 does the second (generally joker/sarcastic) and 3 does the last one (generally aggressive).

I don't know if you can use 4, 5 and 6 for the left side, not sure I ever actually tried.
