 I play on silver sometimes because it is nice to be the best on it. I usually play on gold and every once in a while  platinum and I do good but not great. But on silver I am great so it kinda makes me feel better. Does anyone else do this once in a while (I also do it to boost character experience when there at level one).

I play silver all day long when my friends aren't on because randoms in gold games just makes me sad.

I find the credits more enjoyable than topping the leaderboards, so no, but I hardly play anymore. I'm sure the Silver players appreciate you helping them to extraction though. When I do Silver it's to try out a new weapon or character and in that case topping the board is no sure thing. I doubt you're alone however, since I see a lot of high N7 players in Silver with great weapons and gear putting up huge numbers. I guess some people do still play for fun.

I know but I am talking about when I do it with a level 20 character and an amazing weapon.

With friends as a warm up, but that is about it. Playing any level doesn't make me feel bad, it can be frustrating too loose some gold games but we should learn from it and get back on the horse

I avoid Silver and Bronze like a plague. I will not diminish whatever skill I have on Gold/Plat.

Silver is easily my most played difficulty. Sure I PuG Gold and Platinum, but those aren't fun; usually I'm thrown into some farming matches. Besides, Silver allows you to use all kinds of weird, stupid, and mind-boggingly amazing builds/loadouts.

I play Silver public matches because I don't trust the community enough to do public gold.
Then moan at my friends because they insist on doing Silver just because they know nothing of masochism.

I play Silver when if I can't find anything but FBWGG or when I'm just unlucky with PUGs. Never because I want to be the best. Whatever floats your boat though.

I mostly play Silver too, but it's because I can carry any Silver PUG and not use any consumables, but I can't say the same for Gold and definitely not Platinum.

I'm just stingy on consumables, if I have less than the max I feel wrong (might be OCD), and I hate failing too.

Restocking medigel: 1 silver game = about 1 jumbo pack so...
I never enter a gold game wihout 5 medigels, who knows what randoms you'll end up with.

It's not that bad. You tend to get one person who can play and two who can't as your teammates. Works out to be a gold duo with more people to rez you and a (low) chance they'll use their missiles to do something useful.

I do silver to test out builds or when I don't feel like trying hard.

Can't say that I do this. When I play Silver, I'm generally doing it with low-level characters and weapons I wouldn't use on Gold.

I do mostly silvers because I'm not that amazing at the game. But I've been doing more and more gold PUGs lately and they're not as hard as I expected. The difference is that a silver match can survive one full ******, and a half a ******. A gold match with three good players is basically ruined with the addition of just one ******.

Yeah, let me clarify.  I usually carry my best weapons and gear (like grenade v), but I'll respec and go into silver, usually after seeing one of the threads talk about a different way to play X.  My characters are level 20, at least until this weekend's event.

But when I need to blow off steam, play a vanguard on silver and BC everything... LOL.

I play on silver and sometimes bronze so I can carry some teams. It's interesting, the Krysae is quite popular on silver and I find myself having trouble keeping up with some <120 players. It's interesting to see what people play as and you can give tips to them too. I like it, and I can eat food while I play too.
