He's saying it doesn't. Shredder would only do that by decreasing armour's DR. The GPS bypasses armour DR completely.


Huh, okay, learned something new today. Good to know it's not just good for staggering phantoms.

Tactical cloak doesn't work on escorts. Enemies won't see you, but it doesn't power the drone and we go slower.

It doesn't get affected by that 50 point reduction. But Shredder Mod does nothing on it.

Nuking an enemy (or killing many within about a second including the target) on assassination objectives allows the game to spawn a non-boss target since the budget requirement lowers and may encompass a hunter or missile trooper instead of a prime for example. If you don't nuke many, it can only spawn the same unit again, and it will be forced to be the target.

Air Vanguard can affect hosts too.
And it is not limited to vanguards.

Nice, smart stuff. Also if you don't want to waste a missle on a turret, aim at the ceiling if you can. Floors and walls work in a pinch as we know

Don't know if it's already in here, but you cannot use Pistol Ultralight Mod with Extended Clip Mod.

For those new to the ME universe:

Overload, Energy Drain are designed to attack barriers (purple) and shields (blue).

Concussive Shot does pretty well against barriers.

Reave works best against armor (yellow) and barriers.

Carnage and warp are really only useful against armor.

Arc grenades = shield/barrier destroyers.

Inferno grenades = anti-armor grenades.

I've seen WAAYYY too many players in MP trying to use overload on armored targets or warp on shielded targets. Don't waste your cooldown time. Use a different ability.

You can shoot your Arc Pistol while performing any kind of power. (At least, I think you can for all of them.)

Warping shields is ok if you're priming for an explosion though, since it'll do decent damage. And you might aswell overload armoured targets if  you're a geth engineer with no biotics on the team, since it won't get in the way, might set up some tech bursts and does a little damage to suppliment your gun and don't have much in the way of offensive powers. But I assume you ment peolpe spamming them and wondering why they take so long to kill.

On a related note, if your a fury, asari adept or human sentinel and someone techs over your warp/dark channel, use throw twice. You'll get the tech burst and an explosion. Don't clutter the forum complaining about engineers ruining you BEs.

got this playing with friends. on pizza delivery missions you can use covers to move faster especially on rio there's a long passage with side railings.

So thought it might be a cool thread(if it hasn't been done already) to post verified tips and such. Hypothesis and theories should be a separate thread however. But question here should be welcome I think...


The shredder mod only works when you charge the GPS but yeah its still a waste to use one.  The graal is like that too.

Mmmm only partially true. With a QMI, due to the damage bonus from Tac Cloak, you can afford to spec them for armour effectiveness rather than shield overload. So it becomes an all-around super effective grenade. You can wipe out a spawn of Brutes and Ravagers on gold with 3 cloaked nades.

Oh and does anyone know about what the distance is regular enemies can see you while cloaked? I think Primes and Hunters can always see you right?

In pizza delivery, heavy melee Krogan attacks can cause you to move faster and get a DR bonus. Other characters move faster strafing or walking backwards.
