When using Tactical Cloak remember just because you can't be seen doesn't mean your enemies can't see you.

Fix'd.

No matter how, when, or where you cloak, Enemies WILL see you. Period. Its just a matter of if they deem you a threat or not.

Tactical Cloak is not a perfect defense; if enemies see you while you're cloaking they'll remember your last position for a few seconds afterward. If you use a power, fire a weapon, or run past an enemy they can "hear" you. Brenon Holmes has explained the mechanics behind enemy awareness.

The best way to remain hidden while cloaked is to change position quickly, and move from cover to cover. Keep your distance from enemies, and if you need to move past them, do so as quickly as possible.

As with all things in the game, latency can and will screw you over. If you have a poor connection to the host, give up all hopes of stealth. If your connection to the host is bad enough though, marvel as enemies start completely ignoring you (works best with Adrenaline Mods).

Basically, view Tac Cloak as more of a Damage Boost ability, and NOT as a defensive ability. No matter what, you will NEVER become invisible to your enemies...unless they fix TC...which they won't.

I was guilty of this alot until i saw this on another thread
think before you nuke everything during 1234 objectives the new spawn may be on top of the one trying to do the objective

Didn't read the whole thread, but here's my most important tip for new players and/or PUGs: don't rush the LZ during extraction. Even if you don't die, which is fairly likely, you'll still make your own life much harder. Hang out well away from the LZ, keep a path clear, and sprint to it when there are 15-20 seconds remaining.

It's been said before but I'll reiterate: USE your equipment/amps. This is particularly true on gold and especially true for platinum and less experienced players on those difficulties. Not only does it make killing and staying alive significantly easier, it also shows your lobby you are invested and committed to winning.

There is no reason to hoard your amps. Once you hit the cap of 255 you will STILL receive those amps in packs, but will lose everything over 255 once you log out.

As long as everyone's in the advice-giving mood, I have a question about shotgun accuracy:  I know that the accuracy of most weapons improves when you're shooting from cover, or if you're aiming down the sight vs. hip firing - is this true of shotgun accuracy?  In other words, can you tighten the pellet spread by aiming down the sight or shooting from cover?

I have successfully beat 2 silver matches in less than 45 minutes with my level 15 Turian Soldier armed with level 1 Revenant rifle.

Turian Soldier (At least level 15) + Revenant assault riffle (at least level 1) = The Unstoppable Killing Machine :D

Yes you can see it for yourself just shoot at a wall and see the difference in spread between hip firing and firing down the sights.

Sad that so many still don't realize this, but the bottom right equipment, Gear, is not a consumable. You should always have a gear on, even if you have none that helps, so that you just look like somebody shafted by the RNG, not somebody who doesn't know what Gear is. Also, you move faster on Pizza Deliveries by walking backwards.
EDIT: If you do have a team-player Paladin on your team who blocks with his shield, it works best if you stand behind  him. He can deflect rockets, warp missiles, brutes, and even block grenade explosions, but if you stand with your butt in his face it won't help you at all.

Don't use redundant gear/consumables. It is dumb and wastes a slot

For the love of the Asari Goddess, do not try to start on Platinum. You are not that good. In fact, you probably shouldn't even start on Gold.

Hmmm, if Javik's demeanor is any indication, I didn't think the Protheans loved anyone?

The N7 Phantom Rank 6 Fitness sword bonus not being applied to Shadow Strike is a big one that I'm sure many people are still not aware of.

WAT. Well, that explains why SS didn't seem as powerful as it should.

If you are using a 'lock on' power on a phantom (warp for example), the phantom will throw up its derp shield and it will be blocked. Alternating between shooting and firing a power gives you a better chance of registering an actual hit. If throwing a grenade do not lock on to the phantom and throw it in it's vicinity for splash damage.

If you're sprinting and merely tap the melee button, you'll automatically do a heavy melee.

ULM for all sub machine guns aside from the Geth variant DO NOT WORK, unless used with a pistol ULM. I can't count how many times I've sighed at the sight of someone who doesn't know this.

It took me a while to realize you can't shoot out the canopy of an Atlas to hijack it since this only works in the singleplayer. :pinched:

If I can ever get away from the, "...oh <explicative> phantom!" reflex, I plan to try this.

Your Fury can get Fire Explosions despite not being a tech class.

Equip your weapon with Incendiary ammo, something like a Hurricane works good, and when you see a group of mooks of 3 or more, cast dark Channel in the middle of them, spray with weapon and then throw.

As the Dot of the Incendiary takes effect, and the throw pops the BE, DC will jump to the next alive enemy, and if the DoT has worked its magic, the whole group will explode. Anyone still left alive will be staggered and if you aren't already rushing the group to prime them again with your AF and another throw, then you may get another FE

This is more dependent on timing than anything else

1.) If you're getting alot of pressure from the enemy, change positions. Dont be afraid to lose your cover, wait for a good time and then run like hell. It gives you time to reload, get ammunition and to shoot freely at the enemy.

2.) When you're waiting to get extracted, it's not necessarily wise to stay in the extraction zone. More often than not, you'll get swarmed by Phantoms, Hunters, Pyros and other mean stuff. Get to another point on the map and draw the enemys attention. You don't even have to kill them, you can play cat and mouse, and in the last 20 seconds, you run to the extraction point. Easier then wasting your consumables trying to defend the extraction point for no reason.

3.) If a teammate went down and is bleeding out, don't try to revive him when he's surrounded by enemies. It will only get you killed as well.

Sorry, more than one helpful tip.

Building on what the OP said

EDIT: I'd like to add that killing enemies doesn't increase credit payouts, doing the objectives faster does.

I was leveling my AJA on Bronze and the three other guys refused to go into the hack circle, and we got 2 of those and I had to escort the drone by myself too. It turned a 14 minute match into a 20 minute one, with less credits.

*facepalm*

This.  For the hack, enable/disable, escort and pizza carry objectives, if you don't have the entire objective complete with 3:30 remaining or more of the 5 minute window, you start losing credits.  For the "key enemy personnel," I'm not sure -- maybe you have 1:30 total to kill all four, maybe more or less, just do it as fast as you can.

got this playing with friends. on pizza delivery missions you can use covers to move faster especially on rio there's a long passage with side railings.

Also, going sideways or backwards is faster, if you can afford to do it.

Also, if playing a destroyer and stuck doing the pizza delivery, if you turn off your badass shield, you will move a lot faster and increase the chances of delivery in time to get max credits.  If possible, let a non-destroyer carry the pizza and you provide top cover.
