This one's for PC players. If you're in cover and flanked, and need to turn a corner but not break cover or the atlas is going to shoot you, if you have a middle mouse button, press it and you will turn the corner while staying in cover. Handy to know when you're playing ring-around-the-rosy with an atlas or prime.

It took me a while to realize it with my current favorite class, the Shadow, but yes, it's unfortunately true.

Yes. I was alone escorting as a shadow. Tac cloaked and you get the drone saying lost power. Also tac cloak does not work if you are delivering pizza. Something to keep in mind.

If your character is glitched in a crouch, in the climbing the ladder position or some other strange position, try jumping off (going down) a ladder. A lot of times it will fix the glitch. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries. Unfortunately, sometimes it doesn't work at all and maps like FB Jade and FB London don't have ladders. :-(

Yeah, I knew about the pizza one but I didn't know that for escort.  Good thing I read this thread.  Thanks for sharing.

If you see a N7 > 1000, using a UR X + mods V + ammo IV and playing with a level 8 or lower character on gold, just give him a chance and don't kick him just because of his character level.

In general, people kicking the low level characters out of lobbies are the ones who don't know how to play - they're so afraid at how bad they'll do, they figure everyone in the lobby needs to be lvl 20 to succeed. I've been kicked out of gold/plat lobbies more than once for bringing in characters under lvl 20.

On the flipside, I landed a platinum lobby last week with one guy on lvl 2, and another on lvl 3. Their N7's were 2000+, so I figured we'd give it a shot just to see how far it went - I thought we'd get smashed, but I was interested to see how they played. They absolutely kicked it. Beat level 10 (platinum) two games in a row. One of them solo'd a hack objective on wave 10 after I was banshee grabbed. Couldn't believe how well they did, not getting killed, scoring well, etc. Better players than me, and better at lvl 2/3 than most I've seen are at level 20.

Be careful who you kick...

There is no reason to hoard your amps. Once you hit the cap of 255 you will STILL receive those amps in packs, but will lose everything over 255 once you log out.

Don't know if this is true for all systems, but on PS3 you won't get any more equipment once you're maxed at 255. When I buy Jumbo Equip packs while maxed, it hands out gear instead of the '5 thermal clip packs', or whatever I have 255 of.

It WILL hand you the 5 packs if you have less than 255 though - so if you have 254 of something, you'll get the '5 packs', but it will obviously only increase the count by 1.

It might be different for amps, amos etc than the activated consumables. I don't have anywhere near 255 of thos so I can't say but that is what the original poster specified. I mean what would you get in a pack if you had absolutely everything maxed?

Not a tip, but I'm looking for one. Every now and again when I'm playing, I see an enemy that has gone completely red and has two semi-circles outlines framing them. I've seen it while playing as different characters and I know it's not one of my powers so I'm just wondering what power it is and what does it do?

Sounds like the Quarian Male's Tactical Scan. It provides debuffing against the target and allows all players to see it anywhere on the map.

Character XP cards :)

I actually don't know, I'm nowhere near having everything maxed (and probably never will be), but I'm guessing this is what would be dished out.

On another thread, a poster tested it on lvl 1 inferno ammo amps (he plays mostly gold and platinum, so didn't mind letting his level 1 inferno ammo amps build). He hit 255 and still got level 1 inferno ammo amps. So no, those consumables, when maxed out, don't stop getting the cards the way they do for medi-gels, etc.

Shoot when your Geth shotgun's targeting reticle turns red. It has locked on and all pellets will hit.

If you are using a 'lock on' power on a phantom (warp for example), the phantom will throw up its derp shield and it will be blocked. Alternating between shooting and firing a power gives you a better chance of registering an actual hit. If throwing a grenade do not lock on to the phantom and throw it in it's vicinity for splash damage.

If I can ever get away from the, "...oh <explicative> phantom!" reflex, I plan to try this.

Play as a Vorcha, Paladin, or with a Reegar... and you'll start finding that sometimes you're a little overeager to engage a phantom. (Before realising she's got two other phantoms along with her...oopsie)

OP wins the award for the most productive thread in weeks.

My contribution:

Charge weapons (GPS/Graal/Kishock) can be fired while sprinting, and also while staggered. The same is true of Hunters, as they wield a GPS.

Phantoms actually gain a damage reduction while dodging and moving, even though you actually hit them. The only time they do not benefit from this is when they are in cover and for brief moments between dodges, if you are using a slow firing, heavy hitting weapon: pick your moments wisely.

Enemies like Phantoms and Atlas's only need to have performed their melee attack recently in order to sync kill you. They don't have to have used it on YOU specifically, or even connected with their intended target.

Stasis is entirely ineffective against any target with ARMOUR. It does not stop these enemies, it does not slow them down, it does not apply an effect that can be detonated.

Asari snipers are stupid. Don't do it, just... don't.

On FB Dagger you can shoot through the floor in the main room w/ any kind of piercing weapon.

Especially helpful for those "sensors tell me there's only one enemy remaining" times.
