The Destroyer CAN kill an atlas in 1 Magazine still. (PC only? Extended mags bugged?!?!)

Sorry, just watched all the videos just now.  Is it me or do these videos show that the Revenant X is the best boss killing gun in the game??  It killed the atlas in one clip (128 bullets) and seemed to have a DPS that was WAY better than the Typhoon or the PPR.

In the videos, seemed like the PPR and the Typhoon were doing about the same.. but the Revenant just melted that atlas.  Is this expected?? 



The Typhooon, given its stats, should do far better then it does.
The Revenant doing this well does not suprise me in the slightest, given the things I do with it and the GI.
However.... For the Typhoon....

It seems that every single mod forces you to sacrifice one of its innate bonuses... Killing its performance completely....

No. He is using the PPR wrong.

No. He is using the PPR wrong.


Enlighten me, I would be glad to do another video.

He cleared the shields with 62 shots and the armor with 66 shots.

21,094 / 62 = 340 damage per shot
23,000 / 66 = 348 damage per shot

I'm not an ME3 stat expert, but I highly doubt that you can get a Revenant to reach that kind of damage potential.  I mean, I don't even think you can get a Harrier X to get those kind of damage numbers.

So, is it because of shooting a weakspot on the Atlas or what??  I would really like to know... thanks!

Are you factoring in the multiplier from RoF and other damage boosting stats/gear? I assure you, I was not using a weak spot or falsifying any data.

If the revenant is better for glitch exploiting then the Typhoon.... Ummmm....

Factor in the Armor Reduction and try again. You can even see the Armor going down much faster in the video. There was no Double shot issue.

I don't know of a way I can prove this other than to test on another boss that doesn't have the double shot issue. The only ones that would be big enough for all shots to land would be Ravagers or Brutes and the AP ammo will shred them just the same.

They have a third of the health. 0.0

The thing is, the Revenant is doing something it shouldn't be able to do...

The Typhoon, without using a loadout that specifically prevents bad glitchs, and exploiting a helpful glitch...... Cant do what it absolutely SHOULD be able to do.

Yes, Death.

The Armor reduction has reduced a penalty that is normally 50, to 15.

Your shots on armor are getting 15 damage taken out of the final total, instead of 50.

Say... If someone hit it with a well specced cryo blast, your shots would start doing 15 extra damage against armor, for the sake of it being armor.

Read the information above. Armor Piercing Ammo has an Armor Reduction of 70%, not penetration, not weakening, REDUCTION. As in it is reducing the effective amount of Armor the enemy has once it starts hitting it.

The Revenant is working correctly with the mods applied.

.... That is a score for reducing a penalty.

It isn't more bonus damage.

I dont see why you are assuming that the AP ammo has two armor damage bonuses...

Thats the only way a "Armor Reduction" stat would cause the gun to inflict over twice its own damage.

I promoted all of my classes for this op, but once I get the Destroyer back up, I'll have to try a Brute with AP III and see if it affects the damage in any way. I know it has far less Armor and no shields, but if AP III does no extra damage to armor it should kill the Brute in a certain number of bullets. If it kills it in less, we know the AP Ammo is what is throwing the results.

Tried it after promotion. Typhoon IV with EB V, AP IV. It took about 120-130 bullets to kill a single brute.

A different threads Testing showed that AP 4 ammo does not work on the Typhoon.

I have had enough people say "Uhh, The AP mod caused me to do reduced damage" to make me certain that..... The AP mod is broken in a way that makes it weaker
The Exception to this is the people who were using extended magazine complained "Uhh... This gun is terrible." Found some improvement when they equipped both.
And apparently there was more improvement to come when neither was equipped, and they used the healthy, working, AP III amo.

Which probably means they break the same thing....


Throw the AP IV out the Airlock.

base_damage * 1.5 * 0.5 per hot round to be precise ...

Its the 90% armor ignore that its not working which would add a lot more damage ...

Its not only the ammo IV  all versions off AP ammo suffer of the same problem on the typhoon ...

AP Ammo does 30% extra damage on armor, and health.
There is no 70% boost against armor.

(However, AP ammo does reduce armors damage reduction. However, this does not push a guns damage above its original values.)

On host... Probably.

Off host, AP ammo has a glitch which will cause it to do exceptionally inflated damage on certain targets.


Basically, Using the Typhoon at all currently is a crapshoot based on memorizing every glitch associated with it.

I have no idea.
Other then Geth Pyros (All weapons do it to them on host anyhow, however.)

Would be fun to test.


Brutes and ravagers have behavior that might be conductive to causing the double hit glitch.
