Frankly, that doesn`t even makes sense, since I haven`t touched MP since Op Olympus.
It does, since they ban in waves that are usually weeks apart, the preceding wave was 4 or 5 weeks before the latest one. You don't get banned the instant you cheat, they look at server logs etc. in certain intervals and then decide who gets the hammer.
And they don`t tell you what you`ve done at all? Just one day, a sudden, "out, we've banned you from half of the game you've paid for for some reason we can't tell you, because you've already signed your rights away in the 100 pages agreement that only lawyers can read which you're forced to agree to to play the game."
Their reasoning is outlined here. I can't say if you cheated or not, maybe profited from a glitcher or something.
Also, my appeal emails have gone nowhere, it's been days (as in more than 48hrs, and more like a week)
You already have an answer from Ernest Tse stating that he looked into your account, found you were exploiting and that your ban is permanent. They won't change that.
Their outline reasoning does not say that people are getting permabanned without notice. I had to ASK for a confirmation after days of searching for a technical reason why my MP was down.
Q: When someone does get banned/caught cheating, what notifications do they get?
A: When an account is banned from Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer, the e-mail address associated with the account is sent a notification e-mail.
Never got a notification from them, which is partly why I'm angry about this. And judging by the time of the ban wave, it's been a couple of days since that and when i found out. Guess they never bothered.
Also, their reasoning for perma ban doesn't make sense regardless. I think I was pretty clear as to way. Maybe I did profit or from glitchers or something by accident, I just don't pay attention to those things. Cheating don't hurt me or any other players if it doesn't affect their gameplay experience.
I don't cheat, and certainly don't make it so it makes my teammates feel like they're getting ripped off of their valuable time in a coop game. I don't do glitches (and don't know how), I don't alter the ini so I make obscene amount of money, etc etc.
Does any of that warrant a perma ban on my part? Also, what the F is the point of an appeal process if the first notification I get, again, which I had to ask for myself, is a perma-ban. No explaination, nothing, they think you did something wrong, and BAM!
Hows that any different from getting randomly shot by cops on the street, because they THINK you did something wrong. There's no appeal, because you're dead already. There's no explaination for why you were shot, and APPARENTLY you can't complain, because you CHOOSE to live in a country where cops get to shoot random people on the street. You signed your life away when you bindly clicked that agree box while installing.
WOW >.>
So I guess I'm forever out of ME3 MP now eh? Great way to treat your loyal fans Bioware. I mean, 90 dollars well spent on Collectors Edition on my part. I will gladly share my great exprience with this game around for the years to come.
