I see the typical sycophants are out in force on this thread - they think that by sucking up to BioWare in terms of "cheating" that they will get a job there or something.

It's just a bloody game at the end of the day - the only reason I play is to relax after working (researching/studying) all day, I couldn't care less about whether someone in the game wants to cheat or not (and it's tenuous to call exploitation of a glitch in the coding - a "cheat").

Ugh, some people just need to lighten up and face the facts - perhaps they are taking a game far too seriously.

What about if their game lags and others think there cheating? I had that couple times while playing when I could really do anything in the game from the lag.

Whole "Ban wave" thing is complete lie if you'll trust me... they keep banning ppl that get reported, but they never ever banned ppl based on their own exploration, hence man banned ppl were resurected, banned again, rsurected again and story goes on...prime example is n1 guy with 16k+ n7 rating who was banned several times and resurected same ammount of times - 1, yet he is a cheater but tards from BW have no clue how he cheats. I do know how, and all of you would get heavily pissed if i tellyou how, coz its so simple you would realize all "Ban waves" were so fake and BW cheating policy is a lie coz they have no clue how to ban a guy that scored 3 times better then average being 1st since game launch.
Even if the did know whats the big failure ontheir part, and the major reason why we dont receive serious bug fixes is : there is no DEV team, only script guys trying to make most out of the engine BW bought, but it has flaws and the know it but cant change it as they would need new version of engine and thats a slow process.. so we dont get bug fixes, real cheaters go free, and you keep paying a big lie.

You'll say : hahaha you'll get banned so right now...mabe...maybe not..if i do... you'll know its not coz of cheating, but coz of knowing how...yet i hope some of the BW guys will let me show them and maybe only maybe we can together start actually working on anti cheats.

for thos having doubts in what i'm saying i'll just say : credits by changing client memory values (YES client holds the values, what idiot engine architect would allow that), start boooing the "DEV ****ing team" that doesnt exsist or is lame enough not to deserve DEV title.

Another thing, we've been waiting for bug fixes for a year, we got origin diplaying battery power on laptops, more classes droping trough maps, more "undetectable" cheaters and more ban waves of ppl playing with modders...i say WTF... WE SHOULD BAN BW, let them **** them selves... NO MONEY!!!

No methods BW/Origin offers ever solved any serious issue and support guys acted as idiots following a "we can solve it" script and after failing trying to make an idiot of us, hah if they managed to help you it simply means your greater idiot then them.

Changing the .ini files to get more credits isn't a secret, it is a well known PC cheat. I'm sure you didn't max your manifest that way though.<_<

There are tens of thousands of players, without being reported (or coming here and drawing attention to your maxed manifest) it isn't surprising a lot of cheaters go unpunished.

Oh and the game has been out about 8 months, no one has been waiting a year for anything.

Hows that any different from getting randomly shot by cops on the street, because they THINK you did something wrong. There's no appeal, because you're dead already. There's no explaination for why you were shot, and APPARENTLY you can't complain, because you CHOOSE to live in a country where cops get to shoot random people on the street. You signed your life away when you bindly clicked that agree box while installing.

I guess my drunk outrage gets seriously underestmated, by both BW and community...I'm not gonna tell BW how, bcoz they havent solved single reported issue in past 8 months (thx for community feedback) but coz of issues we tried to get support on (mainly cant connect to others game, and so called biotic issues, which became any character issues where ppl of any class float and cant be killed causing us to waste hours) i'm publicaly announcing on official forums that i have rough estimate on how much money was lost from BW side by ppl using method yet undescribed even by ban rules, as idiots from BW suck so bad they didnt even realize it.
Nothing can prevent my outrage after realizing this is possible so bw suck it, i'm gonna let all ME fans know how you failed at basic stuff....loosing milions yet banning wrong ppl. SHAME ON YOU!!!.
Dont even dare to delete this post as its gonna be posted on more sites the3n you would pay! Suck your balls after 8 months of bugs!!!!

People : Ban waves are fake : the dont know (BW doesnt know) how to fake credits...and its not INI settings, you may get banned even if youre not guilty (havent earned or bought credits), yet cheaters wlll not be discovered as "BW DEV Team" doesnt know..or to be precise doesnt even exist or is a bunch of idiots working behind game engine that allows them to script events but not to fix stuff... THIS Game hasnt been recompiled for ages...FAIL!!!!

Formula :
if !a then b :)

a: BW fixes major bugs (finally), excluding retarteded patch fixes related to script kiddies "fixing or not" issues non related to real problems...like :adding laptop battery info, fixing evo X, cant compensate peoples effort to achieve stuff while game was fault

OR

b: I publish yet unknown method used for months showing how to cheat on credits causing milion dollar damage, to everyone!

I LOVED ME.. BUT ****ERS BEYOND MADE ME DO IT THIS WAY.. THIEVS, CHEATERS, ASSES!

NO = I GO public!!! FIX THE GAME!!!!

Orshee, if you're not going to use proper, readable English, no one's going to take you seriously, not that any of the drivel you're spouting would be taken seriously even if it WERE in proper, readable English. I almost want to change my avatar just so I have nothing to do with you even by coincidence.

On a side note, I was in a match the other day with a guy who kept reviving himself a LOT more than six times. It was a plat match, and three of us were in cover while he was playing suicidal hero, so none of us were there to pull him up. He must have died and gotten back up about twelve times. I tried to video it during another round for proof, but the lag got too bad, and he ended up quitting the match. Anyone else see anything like that?

Lol "milion dollar damage", are we speaking negative credits here?

I don't think it matters what method you are using (ini file or direct memory editing), its still detectable, basically if you are spending more then you earned then you are cheating.

nerd rage aside i do agree that alot of the bans may have been caused by known or unknown bugs that got people flagged for exploiting and i also agree that fixing the game is preferable to destroying ones playerbase by banning everyone who happens to encounter and use a glitch i am sorrey but when a player complains that they recieve an email out of the blue saying they were banned for "Exploitative Behavior" and that bioware wont tell them what they did or provide any warnings than it is unethical to ban people who may or may not know that they are exploiting mechanics. next thing you know all the n7 slayers will be being banned for hacking through walls. is that a bug or game mechanics ?

i have seen a bug where the last player on a round will revive and get killed repeatedly but they are unable to move or effectivly play. so it could have been related to that but if he was reviving and than actually running around shooting than no it is probibally a hack

Hard to relax and enough a game because some guy is soloing with a striker and using the missle glitch.
Hard to enjoy a game when an oppossing player lag switches
Hard to enjoy a game whrn people are invincible or have aimbots
Hard to enjoy a game when people in pvp have hacked gear

this list goes on...It has nothing to do with taking it too seriously, everything has rules and boundaries. The community and the gaming experience are better for it, and people who break rules make the game not fun. In the end it's about everyone having fun and if you're being disruptive you have to go.

I don't understand the point of your first paragraph, are you trying to say that his post is unreadable. I hope not because you obviously called it drivel and how would you know it was drivel if you couldn't read it?:wizard:

P.s. who says drivel in regular conversation, are you trying to look condescending?

Can someone from Bioware please answer a quick question:

If you reported a cheater recently and at the same time self-reported earned credits from the cheater's match to be wiped, will those credits have been wiped in the ban wave if they were going to be at all?

Got a few hanging around that I'm now not sure if I can spend or not. Knowing my luck I'd leave them for months, then spend them thinking that they obviously didn't care, then get banned in the next wave for it!

An answer to this would be very interesting.
I just got thrown into an ongoing Platinum game at stage 4 or so with bugs (or cheats I guess) I've never seen before. Massive scores/XP, massive numbers of NPCs, most one shot kills, and post game obviously insane rewards. I've immediately checked here to find it was a likely cheater (never encountered an (obvious) cheater game before) and sent them a mail with all details.

So now I wonder when those cheated credits get deducted and whether I shouldn't use the store at all in the meantime? Also what happens to any credits earned before, and earned in any further games I'd like to play today? Do I risk a ban if I continue to play and/or purchase packages before they react to my mail/before the next ban wave?

I'm in the same boat. Nothing major but I gained like 125,000 credits from a silver match. My main motivation to play is earning credits and buying packs, and since I won't buy packs until I know if I am getting any credits deducted or not, I have no reason to play.
