I've only just found out about this thread, and also read this one:

I'm slightly worried. As I recall playing with a guy for one match who used unlimited missile launchers, this was about 2-3 weeks ago, and can't remember the guys name. Can someone make it clear as to what I should do, and will I get banned for it?

As I said, I can't remember the guys name so I can't tell Bioware who it was. And I also spent the credits earned from that particular match, and now realise that I shouldn't have. If I make those credits back from another match, will they just deduct those instead? It was a Gold match with the normal amount of credits: Roughly 70k.

Just to make it clear, I did not know about this glitch at the time of the match. Admittedly, I should have looked into it.

But at any rate, can anyone tell me if I will get the ban? :S

At any moment I never:
Choose to get extra credits
Choose to enter a cheating game
Choose to cheat

And for BW/EA I am a cheater?

How does this manifest itself and what are the things to look for?

No. Where do you get that from?

If you accidentally get thrown in a match with cheaters you won't get banned. You just leave after its finished (so that you don't waste any consumables by disconnecting in the middle of it). If you get too many credits, then you report that. Didn't you read the sticky?

I found out this morning that an experienced player; N7 of 2732 was actively recruiting new players to perform this glitch on platinum. I found this out when he asked me what I was doing in a bronze game. My reply, easy completion of this weekend operation. When I returned the question he openly told me he was looking for new players the play platinum using the rocket glitch.

This is worrying for numerous reasons.

1) He is getting them to do the glitch so they face the ban if reported.

2) He assumes they don't know they can be banned and therefore wouldn't think twice about using the glitch over and over again (unless they refuse to cheat using this exploit) or  

3) They wouldn't think to report this player to Bioware for using the glitch.

End result is surely more players using the glitch if other experienced players are doing the same as this one; basically promoting the glitch to new players.

I promptly reported this player anyway. Hopefully Bioware can look into his actions and bring him down. I just couldn't believe somebody would exploit players as well as a glitch. Then again, maybe I shouldn't be so surprised.

This won't stop until a patch is released imo.

Well, if a group of cheaters cheated and cheated and didn't report each other, they could each easily be ranked 17,000 or so and have every UR maxed out and a few billion credits...

Bioware needs to fix the bug. Pretty simple. Don't rely on a closed group of people turning in their friends as it won't happen. You will only catch the ones who are not smart or careful.

Or they could just program a script to audit these things. If a user shoots more missiles than their capacity in a single round (exclusion being if a wave restarts), flag the account for review. Surely they collect this kind of information, and if not, it's time they did.

it's hilarious ppl are still complaining over the missile glitch. When I mean complain they are somehow trying to justify it. I've had a youtube vid on it for quite awhile and still get a lot of common hate message like "you are a moron you can't get banned" or "just leave the game if they are cheating" or my fav "you won't get banned if you are with a missile glitcher but not using it yourself"

oh the ignorance. They just mad because bioware banned them =)

When a company like BW starts using the Ban hammer... All I can do is laugh. Yes people deserved top be banned. BW is first in foremost in this category IMO. (Needing to be banned.)

Some of the poorest developmental skills I have ever seen produced.

So, I've sent a report to the mentioned e-mail address with all details over 1 week ago, few minutes after end of the cheated battle I was thrown into. I also PMed multiple moderators here on the forum.

So far I've received only a short "Thanks" PM reply here, and no reply at all from the e-mail. And I still have those 110 Million credits I never wanted (also diminishes the fun of earning and spending credits). I am very reluctant to purchase any packs right now, which removes much of the purpose of playing Gold and Platinum to get enough credits to upgrade your stuff.

Did anyone encounter a credit hacked game before? How long did it take BW to remove the cheated credits? Did anyone get any replies to cheating reports to me3mpcheaters@bioware.com and if yes, how quickly?

I reported a glitch before and they replied the next day (me3mpcheaters@bioware.com).

They do indeed. I've resent the mail from another account and got a prompt reply a day later, finally getting rid of those credits.

Tip: Don't use your Hotmail account to send them mail (though EA has no problem doing all the Origin correspondence with it).

it's been more than a month....are there going to be any more ban waves? If not, there's no point in playing Gold/Platinum on consoles anymore since they're plagues with glitchers.

I can see how this infinite missile glitch is a problem. See what happens when you go multiplayer. You got to worry about people getting free stuff... I mean free because you guys charge for more missiles now! Heaven forbid... Patching it would probably stop the hemorrhage of money, but then again banning people requires them to buy more stuff too usually hardware... Might want to put a screen up at the end telling us to buy more DLC and Weapons packs or something!

Y'know, you can sorta see the temptation to cheat in a gold or platinum game, because of the amount of credits and XP.  But I just reported a guy for missile glitching on bronze.

I got kicked out from the game because i used N7 Destroyer missile launcher. They thought that i was using rocket glitch or something like that. When you use cobra missile to kill an enemy, it will show up on the right info-feed as a missile launcher. Same will read when you use N7 Destroyer missile launcher.
