Edit: Post removed as you obviously don'tunderstand the work that goes into making a patch by a team compared to 1 person running data and emailing.

Must be a yet another console thing.  And of course, more code will be appended into the game to supposedly fix it, which doesn't really benefit us (PC), and could cause another series of functions to break.
Consoles, why are you holding us back? *sigh* Image IPB

:wizard: Space magic also known as popularity lol.

I wish that I could get the performance out of my PC that I could out of my Xbox.  Sadly by the time you add in the OS, the hundreds of GPU variants, the differences in drivers, software and hardware, it will never happen.

Then there's the cost.  I'm not saying you need a Trifire or Quad-SLI setup to run things at max, but...  Cost to performance ratio still isn't there.  I grant you a 7750 is an amazing card considering passive cooling even at 1080 resolution, and it's around 100$.  But a lot of people won't buy a dedicated GPU because they are still stuck on the idea a PC is for da internetz and typing.  Factor in difficulties with hardware (artifacting/overheating/BSODetc) and consoles win.

I've got an incredibly nice home media setup, and I still use my Xbox.

Just a friendly poke at consoles. Image IPB

But I hear ya on the cost factor.  My current rig is an exercise of what NOT to do.  This probably is my last desktop purposely-built for gaming.  What I spent on it overall is just plain ridiculous, I don't even want to think about it anymore. Image IPB

Haha. I know that feeling!

My previous rig was a q6600 on an asus rampage.  I was cleaning moths out of my wallet after I got into watercooling and SLI setups.  After that one, since nothing has really changed (don't get me wrong my original q6600 build wouldn't max crysis, later evolutions of it did), I lost some interest.

I realized I can get a lot better bang for buck by cutting out the top of the heap andby trolling slickdeals/newegg open box deals daily.

I still love my desktops, but with all the tablets and smartphones laying around at home, I just am not in front of it like I was.

Are you sane ?

Seeing, cheater being banned is a great pleasure, you should try to enjoy.

Not only you get to play a game where there are less cheater, but where cheater riks their account by cheating, every times i see a ban wave there is like a tsunami in my pants.

I got no respect for cheater, and even if they could not cheat anymore, i don't want to play with them.

They are a plague that has to be erradicated, wether the game is fixed or not.

I wonder if the ban would have been smaller if they bothered to properly fix the glitches that everyone is exploiting.

^this

+ cheaters tend do don't buy any packs with real money (cause they cheat and get money easily you know? =D). so bioware isn't really losing any money on them.

anyways, good job. keep up the good work. looking forward to the event, without any cheaters around (or at least less cheaters)

If only patching the game was as easy as analyzing data.

No it's not that easy. However what they're doing is a very half-assed way to support a game. We were all excited to see their post when they said they fixed the missile glitch. When in reality, all they did was put a bandaid on it and hope that nobody tried to see if it still worked. You also can't forget that this game's only had one update since it launched. At this rate, they're not going to patch it until the community has moved on to some of the other games that are coming out this Fall.

Which even if they DO patch this game, most of us don't have enough confidence in them to honestly think they're going to fix what's wrong with this game. Just look at the update we got, they boasted about how they fixed the Vanguard glitch where they're stuck to floor. That's not even close to the actual Vanguard glitch that's in this game.

40k in the long run won't mean anything. Even short term it means nothing to EA/BioWare.

They'll probably make that back through real money purchases of packs. However, if you continue to ignore your game and keep game breaking flaws in, those people are going to leave.

Sure, they made their money on ME3, why should they care you might say? Those people will think twice about buying another BioWare game since ME3 is such a glitchfest and they've refused to do anything to fix it. BioWare already has lost out on a ton of fans due to Dragon Age 2 and ME3, you really want to give the rest of your remaining fanbase a reason to ignore you?

40k is chump change to what they'll end up missing out on.

That's what I was thinking, but then again a well played Vorcha is invincible anyway.  So, I guess all good Vorcha players should be banned?

I was messing with my Vorcha Solider a bit last night after you went to bed and some fool asked me if I was glitching, I had no idea what he was talking about.... If I go online and find myself banned, I will be BEYOND PISSED OFF. Image IPB

Smoke and mirrors? I have yet to see an actual ban. You could guess that with over 1,000 bans at least someone would get pissy and post here or on another site ( Gamefaqs for example ) about it. Yet I have never seen it...

The many people who claim to glitch often, from several communities, are never gone. I even think some poster above said that they checked on the two people they reported and ...they are still around.

I was wondering will these people get unbanned once you fix the glitch they were exploiting, maybe instead of banning cheaters you reset them to day 1 status and make them have to redo everything

Great idea and all. I agree that cheaters should be dealt with harshly...but your reasoning is quite faulty...

I have only bought a pack with RL money once, and that was simply to get rid of the useless 80 Microsoft Points i had left.

I buy all my packs with in game credits, so by your logic, I should be banned for playing the game the way they intended...?

Edit: Not trying to flame, or troll. Simply hoping you'll understand the train of thought.

I agree i think cheaters need to get their N7 rating and characters wiped to Day 1 status like they are new to the game type deal. Any money they did spend on the game well you know the online policy once purchased nonrefundable.
