*SPOILERS* Alright. So, I'm about to start my final playthrough, and I like the idea of romancing Leliana. The problem is that I also want the 'dark ritual' ending. I feel as though that's the wrong thing to do. How would Leliana feel about it? I think, maybe, the best choice would be to not romance anyone. Any opinions?

I think Leliana would prefer the warden to be alive and with her no matter what the cost. In the original epilogues (before the DA2 retcons), Leliana did not do well at all if her love died.

I'll respectfully disagree with ejoslin. While I don't think hardened!Leliana would even blink if a night with Morrigan were the price of the Warden's life (and unhardened would get over it), I think the whole "preserving the soul of a false Tevinter god* using blood magic" thing would not sit well with her. Unhardened!Leliana especially would balk at that.
It would be a hard choice, and I'm not 100% certain which way she'd go. But the religious implications are pretty dire and she doesn't trust Morrigan at all. If the Warden asked her, and she told the Warden to go ahead and do it, I suspect it's a decision she would question and possibly regret for a long time.
*Leliana's likely view of Urthemiel, IMO.

You both make good points. This fence is going to be a hard one to get off of.

I recently played with a male city elf warden romancing hardened Leliana. I did the ritual myself and It did feel a bit wrong. I could have asked Alistair but I dont have the heart to ask him to have a child with a woman he absolutely despises. I also personally think that if anyone should do the ritual, it should be the warden himself. An option that female characters dont have unfortunately.
This is pretty much the reason why I prefer romancing Morrigan. Not only because she is my favourite romance, but I also dont have to feel guilty about the ritual. It kind of feels right that Morrigan does the ritual with the man she loves. She wants to do it more than ever and she is glad to do it with him.
Because of this, its also nice to see them together later in the end of Witch hunt as they go to the unknown with both of them smiling. Im glad to have this ending for my warden and I certainly hope that as long as they´re together, things dont go totally bad later.
