1: (I found THIS on these forums somewhere ie the fix mentioned here) If you use a multi core processor... make sure your vid card settings are asssociated w/this. I've an Nivida 8800gt i believe and found it under the 3D setting I believe.

2: Your Fire Wall. I used Zone Alarm. It was problematic and thus removed it. I use an external FW and Microsofts now. I have no issues.

Since these changes NO CTD's...no weird graphical issues, blending, losing pixels and or crashs nor the need to ever lower my vid settings to get though a certain zone. No issues w/content... scripts (ie AI's behaving strangly).

Its a great game...now.
