I would go with the PS3 if i were you. It's got Uncharted, Infamous, Killzone, LittleBigPlanet, God of War, Heavenly Sword, MGS4, Heavy Rain, Flow, Flower, Journey, plus more to come like The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, The Last Guardian, and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Oh and inevitably Kingdom Hearts III :)

I have everything.

I bought Journey. It was a 600 MB download...took me 18 hours. No joke, I bought it the day before Darksiders 2 came out, thinking "Oh sweet, I have 1 day with nothing to play. Journey is supposed to be awesome, I'll get that out of the way." Well, it finally downloaded, but I've been playing DS2 ever since. Haven't touched it yet. Anyways...the PSN sucks. I'll gladly pay for a service if it means it will actually work in an efficient manner.

I use my PC the most at this point, Xbox at a close second. My PS3 I mostly use for exclusives (of which there are a number of "good" ones but not too many "great" ones.) And my Wii...mostly just sits there. My 3DS I use when I'm playing multiplayer Xbox or PC and waiting for other people to load up. My PSP...I have it sitting in the bathroom so I can play there, but I usually end up ignoring it all the same.

Agreed on all counts, and I own both a 360 and a PS3. Have heard the same point of view from others who also own both consoles.

That is, if the choice is between those two.

I find "360" and "better exclusives" being associated together pretty hilarious.

None of them have a lot of exclusives so that's not much of a reason to buy a console in the first place.

I simply didn't care much for the PS3 exclusives but at least got a lot of fun out of the likes of Gears of War.

I kind of have to agree tbh and I own a 360.

I do too. Microsoft is pretty abysmal when it comes to exclusives that core gamers may like. I'm tired of Halo, Gears Of War, and Fable being the only games I can look forward to.

Yes it doesn't have many exclusives. But again, the PS3 has maybe one exclusive I even care about. Exclusives aren't a very good reason to buy a console these days. Almost everything is on PC as well.

I'd say, if you got the money, buy both a 360 and a ps3.

I own both. The only thing PS3 has better is the exclusives really. Of course, if that's what you want, then go for the PS3.

The system with most exclusives by far is PC. As for console I preferred my PS3 when owned one to 360. Community seemed friendlier and more mature plus the hardware was nicer to use. In the old days the 360 had the advantage of vastly more games on the system but these days they have around same amount. The storage of BluRay means a huge amount of less disc swapping too and never had to install games to HDD compared to 360 in order for them to play well.

PS3 also had more RPG's I found compared to 360 while the 360 had more action and FPS titles though these days again I think they around same. PS3 has way more tactical RPG's though still, great ones like Disgaea and Valkyrie Chronicles as examples, plus many more eastern style games like anime themed RPG's. If like RPG's more than say (online playing) FPS then I would go for the PS3.

My personal preference is PC>PS3>360.

I love my PS3. That getting one also saved me from having to buy a Blu-Ray/dvd player makes it even better.

And Valkyria Chronicles, one my favorite games of all time, is PS3 only, which is another point in its favor.

The problem is that the PS3 sometimes has trouble with bugs and patches, Skyrim being an example. I owned both consoles and had to choose one to sell, it was a very easy decision and  chose to keep the 360. If I had the money I'd buy another PS3, but if choosing, I'd choose the 360 every time.

That's just like your opinion man.  Forza, Gears, Halo, Fable, are just a few..  Everyone who is suggesting PS3 is suggesting because of the exclusives but lets face it that's all the PS3 has going for it.

The 360 has some great exclusives.  Maybe not as many but who cares?

Sadly, the annoying casuals or those youtube console fanboys care.

I combined a PC and a Wii the past generation. I have an Xbox 360, but I barely touched it. It's an entry-level PC with expensive games, which in my opinion, is not worth it. The Wii is different enough from a gaming PC that I thought they complemented each other nicely. Having said that, the Wii is pretty much dead now and it's probably best to wait for the Wii U.

If it's between Xbox 360 and PS3, I'd have a hard time choosing myself. They're almost identical with the difference being some exclusive games and the quality and cost of the online service.

I went though 3 Xbox 360's, rage quitted, and got a PS3. The PS3 doesn't ****ing break every other month like the (mulitple) Xbox 360's did.

Plus, the PS3 has the Uncharted series.

I agree with chunkyman, save yourself the hassle and get a PS3. Wii is ok but it's capabilities and games are very limited. It's like playing a PS2 with a motion controller and 90% of games are done by Nintendo so your choice s limited.

I'm not a casual player or a console fanboy, and I care. Maybe it's the times I grew up in but I do. The games you could play for one console or another usually dictated what you would buy. I probably wouldn't care if exclusivity was dead but that's not the case. I can't play Metal Gear Solid 4, New Super Mario Bros., Kingdom Hearts, God of War, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Halo, Gears of War, or Uncharted on any console I want.

Get a Wii.

A: You already got a PC for the "hardcore" games.
B: A Wii offers a totally different experience
C: When you have friends or loved ones over, you can play with them.
D: A Wii doesn't just mean games for one console, but you can play NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Sega Genesis and many other games.

Seriously dude, what's the point of getting a hardcore console that plays the exact games your pc can play except with worse controls and graphics? Get a Wii.

Yes. By all means a Python console! But remember to have all 7 gazillion mutually incompatible versions installed :)

I got a Slim and never looked back. I too had a few RRoD but the Slim fixed that problem.  If the OP gets a Slim he won't have to worry about RRoD.  That's yesterdays news.

Yep. The early version(s) had those. Everyone I know who had the first 360 eventually got the RRoD. Me as well.

But to the credit of MS, they do actually replace them if you get that.

Have had a slim for ages now. No issues whatsoever.

For what it's worth I use my PS3 more often than my 360 ( thanks to it's built in Blu Ray player and it's crappy web browser ) but I spend more time playing games on my 360 than I do on my PS3.

I suppose you can't really go wrong with either although I would tend to recommend the 360 over the PS3. For multi platform games I tend to pick the 360 version over the PS3 version since I feel that the 36 has the best gaming pad in the business, getting achievements is very addictive ( more so than PS3's trophy's ) and most 3rd party developers just don't know how to program for the PS3.
