After playing in a multiplayer match in which someone constantly swore at me, I was wondering if there was a way to mute out other players' microphones in Mass Effect 3 multiplayer.

I noticed there is a setting called "dialog volume" and was wondering if this was it or if this is the voice over saying the objectives etc.

Also, if it is possible to mute out other players, can you choose specifically who to mute out or do you just have to do it to everyone?

I know these are quite a few questions in one post but any help/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, Richter

This would be a great feature...So many times people have come on and just chatted or played music, nothing related to the game; just a bunch of background noise and real irritating.

Yes there is, it's in settings, I don't recall which area off the top of my head, either sound or online, and it's not dialogue, it's voice or mic setting or something, just switch it off and mulitplayer becomes playable again.

EDIT: And you have to do it to everyone as far as I know, it doesn't let you specify a player, it's just an on/off feature I think

Just turn off anything related to voice chat and you won't have to hear anybody.

Do you know which settings are related to voice chat? I looked through them but at best their names were vague.

I have wanted this feature since I played the demo!

Some nozzles get on with an open mic and have the TV playing, or have their cell phones going off, or are being intentionally being obnoxious (a game I joined had some guy who chain-belched into the mic).

I don't want to mute everyone... just the knuckleheads.
