Expensive Equipment Choices (need help from experienced warriors)

For example, my friend is rolling a Dwarf shield and weapon warrior, and he swears by the Veshialle. claiming it to be more powerful than even the Keening Blade (which i doubt). However would it make a good off hand weapon? Or what about the Rose's thorn? Are either of these weapons better than my current off hand weapon, Topsider's honour?
Also, what of the expensive amulets, rings and belts, namely:
The Spellward
Andruil's blessing
Lifegiver
Ring of Ages
So to summarise, assuming I have about 200 sovereigns by the end of the game, which pieces should I purchase?
Many Thanks and Merry Christmas,
Dan

If you don't have Key to the city then get it (All you have to do is find 5 scrolls in Orzammar and then go to the assembly and there will be a crate with the ring in it for free)

Lifegiver is... OK... remember, +% Healing Received is bugged and does NOT work.
Spellward is a better choice than Lifegiver.

Short answer:
Main Hand : Starfang (1H version) or Veshialle or Keening Blade.
Off-Hand : Rose's Thorn.
The idea is to keep a relatively fast attack speed, in which case you really want a fast offhand and Rose's Thorn is the superior choice (best dagger in the game afaik). You can ofc dual wield full weapons but DPS wise, it's not necessarily the better choice.
Also, what of the expensive amulets, rings and belts, namely:

Andruil's blessing
Lifegiver
Ring of Ages
The Spellward is decent, definetely get it if you can but Andruil's blessing increased all stats by 2, which in itself is pretty powerful. Lifegiver isn't bad, but it would benefit a tank (or even a weak rogue) more. Ring of the Ages is trash, compared to what's available and the benefits of other stats over resistances. Don't even think about it. If you need a particular resistance bumped you can just use salves or heroic defense.

I am currently playing as a duel weapon wielding warrior and loving it. I am at level 15 and still have Orzammar, Landsmeet and Final Battle to do, plus a small bunch of side quests. So having saved about 200 sovereigns, I spent 80 or so on grandmaster runes and tomes. My question then, is which of the high cost items are worth it. Oh yeah and i don't have any DLC till Xmas.

Spellward, Anduril's Blessing, and Lifegiver. Forget the ring of Ages - You'll acquire Key to the City as part of a quest. It's miles ahead of the Ring of Ages. In Orzammar there are some spectacularly lucrative quests that really pay the bills.
