@above: I didn't have any trouble with it, but maybe I just got lucky.
Sebastian's a nice enough party member. He's not to my tastes, and sometimes he can be overly preachy, but he's got some nice quests.
Recruiting him does get you some more interaction with the Grand Cleric, however. And that makes the ending (won't spoil) have a bit more of an impact. And you also get to see Leliana again, so bonus.

Thanks for the input people. I'll have to consider this. A lot of people hate him and a lot of people like him
.
I do want to get him as the best part about Bioware games are the companions. The only thing stopping me is that he is day 1 DLC. I feel like he should be free.
Edit:I'll do some reserch and see how many other people are having problems after patch 1.04. Thanks for the warning though.

I got it for free with the Signature Edition and hated him since day 1 because I simply can't stand religious type of characters. Just saying that he was full rivalry on many playthroughs and I barely played with him or teamed up with the character.

Do not buy it yet, the exiled prince DLC is bugged with patch 1.4, you can not play it.
There is only silence regarding an fix and i tried everything contacting EA who is very shy with customer support.
I installed Patch 1.4 before starting the game, and I had NO bugs with the "Prince".
