did anyone here get a message on the Mass Effect 3 datapad app where a squad member like Ashley said, "Hey, Skipper. They might actually let me see you today. Hang in there." , after the ending?

Yep, got one from Kaidan saying something along the lines of "Going to come down to see you today. Hopefully they let me," or something. I'd double check the wording but the app hasn't connected for weeks.Even if the app isn't canon, that sure made me happy. It's probably why I have been able to replay the game multiple times without feeling ultra depressed.

Same. Like, hey Kaidan, aren't you um... on the Normandy somwhere? Didja come back? Are you upstairs from my hospital room? And why wouldn't you be able to see me?
Am I in jail somewhere for mass genocide of synthetics? D'oh!

This message has been discussed in several old (months back) topics. I can't remember how exactly it was found out, but the message was a glitch. You would beat the game and receive it from Ashely, except it was supposed to be from the beginning of ME3 when Shepard is locked up on Earth.

Point in fact I firmly believe that there is something more sinister than just 'bad writing' or IT behind the endings of ME3...I will have to research into this more.
Quoted for truth.
Even if it's not "Project X", or IT, and even if it doesn't alter the endings at all, Bioware clearly have something in store for us. There's far too many little clues scattered throughout Mass Effect 3 and the DLC we've already received for there not to be some kind of sting in the tail still to come.
People like to claim "bad writing" as the source of all the plot holes, all the little things that don't make sense, or leave you wondering... well, news flash son. There's an old military proverb:
"Once is bad luck, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action".
Now replace "luck" with "writing". Sooner or later, all the little plot holes, the question marks, the hints, the clues stop being oversights or errors, and become deliberate.
The Mass Effect 3 journey - Shepard's journey - isn't quite over yet.

This might hold water if we did not have Mass Effect 2's plot to reflect back upon. That was rubbish, and it stuck. Worse, I cannot see a scenario where BioWare would quietly take the proverbial beating this fanbase subjected them to, intentionally left them hanging for nearly a year, only to finally "cave" to the demands.
This is all wishful thinking derived from people grasping for anything that is not the current endings, EC or otherwise. A shame to say that is how the ME series will be remembered.

He knows full well what 'Project X' means around here, but those comments were almost certainly regarding the new IP that Casey's working on.

So, from what a buddy of mine over on Playfire was saying, his sources inside Bioware refuse to confirm or deny the existence of a Project X, but it does seem to be some form of large DLC... I'm thinking some kind of Awakening-esque expansion, maybe to sort of bridge the time between ME3 and ME4...

sounds good to me. an expansion that lets us sample ME without being Shepard...but set during the events of ME3... maybe the siege on the citadel....or during some missions relating to priority earth....
WOULD BUY!!

I was kind of thinking, incorporate and make legitimate the indoctrination Theory, then after the dust settles, you see kind of a stinger showing the emergence of the forces under the thrall of the Dark Energy, and that leads things into the story starting in ME4B)

You can keep discussing this if you wish, but it is false. Sorry.
We have aid numerous times now, we have "ended the endings". While there is more DLC for both Single and Multiplayer still to come, there is no more "endings" DLC.
