So... You guys actually think this could be true? To some point at least?

I think there might be smaller-scale truth underneath all the exaggerated theories and demanding time-tables, and that the DLC might snap together to "improve" what's already there in the ending. That might be why the team denied Project X's existence, yet kept the topic open for discussion.

it´s like Schodringer cat... neither true and neither false till they prove or disprove it...

the bsn proves that bioware can try to deny what they want it wont be accpeted by parts of the base no matter what if they dont want it to be true, so what is actually proof? If proof means end of dlc without ANYTHING of that timetable? or is proof achieved when it becomes clear that bioware doesnt follow the timetable from the beginning?

id like to know

For me, it ends when BioWare puts out all the DLC. Then I will make judgment on things. For now I play the waiting game, like everyone else.

I for one refuse to buy any SP DLC until everything is out in the open or it goes on sale (because it will, inevitably, Xbox Live loves that stuff, how many times has the ME2 DLC been discounted?)

I'm also not buying anymore of BioWare's damn games or DLC until the company comes to it's senses and admits the ending of ME3 was a piece of s*** and gives us some post-breath content and a real reunion.

ME3 is not a piece of ****, but its ending is what makes it a piece of ****. I still going to buy their DLC because I'm a loyal fan, but I still hate the ending.

I'm standing on one side of a wooden bridge. On my left, I've got a hammer and nails to repair it with, and on my right some gasoline and a match to finish it off with. The final DLC is BioWare's last chance with me.

It is aside from multiplayer and the core TPS/spellcasting hybrid gameplay.

They have stated more than multiple times that the extended cut is the LAST ending related DLC. Look it up. Literally everyone (most) at the company have mentioned this...

Just the ending though. The developer pretty much turn the ending into some sort of a Hegelian Dialetic

All we fans want is a good ending or at least an ending that makes sense. the EC answers some of the question but leaves more to be unanswered.

And aside from 2 of the main arcs - Genophage and Rannoch, and aside from the squad (including new additions such as the one and only Javik), the missions of the returning characters (Samara, Grunt, Jack), increased customization compared to the abomination that was ME2 "customization". It's not a perfect game in any way, but the number of positives outweights the number of negatives

Now back on topic. Anyone still believes in Project X lol?

even if you are not an IT fan and think that its completley bull****, it does allow a clean sheet for Bioware to create a new ending.

When has Bioware ever told the truth in regards to Mass Effect?  No, Extended Cut is not the last ending related DLC.

From a purely business point of view the end has to be modified by BioWare one way or another. Be it by 'project X', the last piece of dlc, or by the beginning of Mass Effect 4.

The ending of ME 3 is just too messy for BioWare to continue a successful franchise with a sequel. In my opinion there are three ways to continue the current story/ending of ME 3 in ME 4.

1. They canonize or retcon the choice you had at the end and do as if the original endings never happened or mattered much. Since so many people felt the ending felt so rushed and (at least for synthesis) came out of the blue and felt as if nothing you did mattered, this seems to be a bad way to get your fans to buy ME 4. Another way of doing this is by setting ME 4 in the far future and by doing this making the end of ME 3 less relevant. This, in my opinion would be the easiest way out and would aggravate me as an ME fan the most. It would also be the final nail in the coffin for my ME experience and personal proof that BioWare really doesn't care about consistent story telling within the ME universe anymore.

2. They release 'Project X' or the final DLC, which either somewhat changes what we currently have, or takes place after the breath scene/current endings. And by doing so can both show us our war assets / show us our made choice, and still work towards a valid starting point for ME 4.

3. They write option 2 as the opening sequence of ME 4.

Again, from a business point of view, it really doesn't make sense to skip a whole story part and pretend nothing happened when starting ME 4 and expect your fans to still have faith in your capabilities to deliver a great story and emotionally engaging franchise. The new work from Sam Hulick, all the writers being on board, and many squad member voice actors confirming they've been back in the studio shows us something interesting is going to happen. I just have this last piece of hope this will fix most of the problems we have with the ending. And if not and this last piece of 'Project X/Citadel DLC/Ending' dlc or whatever you wanna call it turns out to be another 'detached-from-the-main-story-side-quest' then I'm done with BioWare and Mass Effect, and I'm not saying that as an angry customer, but will be saying that as a formerly devoted but ultimately very disappointed Mass Effect fan.

There are 3 things that makes a story great (yes, even game); Beginning, Climax & Resolution. The Beginning & the Climax was greatest I ever seen, but the Resolution, let's just say there was no Resolution to the game. The game was supposed to be the last game in the Trilogy (For Shepard at least). There are those who says that make a great story is the Climax. Which is I true & I cannot in anyway refute them because I also believe in it too, but what makes a story truly great is the Ending. Imagine Romeo & Juliet where they both eloped to Sardinia & lives happily ever after, while leaving their family feud unresolved.

I will believe in Project X when they make an official announcement about it. Like I said earlier I "support" the IT because the ending just plain suck.

woah there friend.  see the bad PR for what it really is.  BAD PR!!
i rather suspect that if bioware had nothing planned and the ending was left like it is that their reputation would disappear down the toilet faster than a sloppy turd born of vindaloo.

EA aint gonna let that happen.  Say what you want about EA but they aint gonna let bioware commit corporate suicide.  it's bad for making money.  EA likes money.

It's not going to happen.  Bioware is not going to come to their senses.  They screwed up and they refuse to admit it.  They release the EC and lie to us and themselves by saying it is a solution.  It is not.   Instead of doing something about it, they pout their lips and say that they wont bend over backwards for the fans.  They make claims that Leviathan was their best selling DLC so far but fail to provide sales figures to back up that claim.  They are just full of it.  I stopped supporting them after ME3 and I'm glad I did.

Only 2 things that could redeem them in my eyes:

1.  A new ending

2.  A Harbinger DLC

The first isn't happening.  The second I don't know because they have been mum about it but it doesn't look good.

^ If what you say is true (that Bioware won't come to their senses), then it is truly a sad day in gaming. But I believe there is still a little bit of hope for ME3.

Just something I thought it can be interesting.

The words aren't spoken, we'll be there soon
For ME3 a song that echoes on
And all who find us will know the tune
[...]
Some folk we never forget
Some kind we never forgive
Haven't seen the back of us yet
[...]
All eyes on the hidden hint
We'll ride in the gathering storm
Until we get our long forgotten end
We'll fight as long as we live
