Then maybe Bioware should go Spec Ops: The Line and make it so if people engage in evil or "dark" behavior, they get punished for it, by making the game experience a downer that promotes guilt feelings and inner reflection.
That would be the true adult way to go--not all this stuff you like Cultist, wanting to play evil characters, have demons in the party, etc. I think the people who want to play the dark side are giving into the stereotypical "power fantasy" stuff.
You miss the point, this is not Dungeon Keeper or Overlord. RPG should have options to be evil, not force playerd to be evil.

You're not making any sense.
It's YOU who controls the PC's actions. No one is forcing you to be a evil murder-machine. The game certanly doesn't.
You're basicly saying that playing an evil douche is the only valid way to play the game because it's "dark fantasy".
I don't think you know what dark fantasy really means.
No. You control PC, but you control it in a Dark Fantasy setting and have to deal with its realities.
Dragon Age setting is dark, medieval fantasy, and you should not play as a ruthless murderer if you don't want to. BUT. - if a role-playing game have option to be evil and do dark deeds, it's a good role-playing game as heroic and good behaviour of protagonist are there by default. Even in darkest settings there are people who strive for good and honour.
OP asked only for OPTION to kill Leliana, not demanded her death. Then topic shifted to why people want her dead and then further to discussion who's hypocrite and who's not.
