It's no use they'd probably retcon it again once they remembered that hot red heads with accents are marketable.

Didn't kill her myself, but since I can't really appreciate how they retcon her into being alive anyway, I'll support this notion.

My only gribe with her, is that bioware retconned her death for no reason. I don't see why Leliana just HAD to come back from a possible death. A new character could just as well have filled her role in DA2.

Omg, I can't stand Liara  Leliana she get her own DLC, comic and has more screentime than my favorite character. And the worst part? She is unkillable! I've been asking for Sten romance DLC since day one, and what do we get? More Leliana. In LS, DA2, and MoTa.

As far as I recall, the way the romance with Morrigan and Leliana worked allow you, if you followed a certain order, to have both of them romanced, and they'll not complain. It's not like having them recognized the relationship, but it's close. I don't think it's possible with other combination of LI.

I managed to pull off romancing Zevran and Alistair concurrently in one playthrough. And then they both recognized being romanced in DA 2 (well, to the extent that Zevran can recognize romances with the fan patch).
Good times.

As for the OP:
Only one of my Wardens killed Leliana, but her resurrection was handled rather poorly. She may be killable in the upcoming war, though. Or maybe not.

I saw Leliana's outcome as a pretty major choice and test of her loyal during that questline. Just the notion that they'll handwave it  just like that doesn't sit well with me. And about Majorline who know she might end up having "FUN" with Majorline.

Only ones I want to stay dead is Arishok and Fenris. Though killing Tallis is high on my want list for DA3. Fenris is only dead in my main playthrough though cause I didn't realize selling back to Danarius was an actual choice and not just something that caused him to run off and leave you to deal with Danarius.

As for Lilliana, I say they can still redeam themselves there by making a good reason why she is alive like she has a very dark secret now where she is actually the thrall of a Tevintar senator who used a combination of blood magic and healing to bring her back and then forced her into being a reaver (the reaver part would be so the physical enhancements reavers have would combined with her record with accompanying the warden, and perviously being part of the chantry make her a shoe in to be chosen as a seeker) so she could act as a spy in the seeker order. Furthermore it could be used to explain how the urn of sacred ashes disapers, if it turns out the senator was the descendant of a Magister Lord who found the temple and then passed the duty of ensuring the Chantry never got its hands on it down to his descendants. The time Lillliana becomes a thrall of the senator would be they only thing that would change here, as if she accopnies the warden and lives it just happens latter when she goes on a more personal homage.

Yeah, but's it's weird if you never make Anders a Warden and refuse to recruit Justice. The two would never meet.

And leaving her in Lothering is often out of the question for me. If a mage or warrior, the next rogue who'd open chests for me is Zevran, and even then he'll have to level up quite a bit to learn it a decent level

Yeah I understand. My opinion on her is pretty similar. Like her when hardened, too naive & preachy when not.

The bold part does really bug me, since my canon is a Warrior and I'm a bit OCD with looting in this game, it would be HELL if I didn't recruit her
