We held the top of the stairs no problem. You always have an escape route out the back. That corner is a good position, it provides good cover.ryoldschool wrote...
I always search for U/Cerberus/Gold to avoid most of those lobbies. Still sometimes I get tossed into one. When playing randoms at least you have an unspoken strategy and people have a good idea on how to survive. I don't think many "farmers" would still be farming if they had not learned how to play because to get the payout you have to do those three objective waves which can be a pain depending on what you draw - an escort or a hack at the top of those stairs for example.

So last night I was with 2 friends and we decided to set it to my hated FBWGG settings so it wouldn't take 3 years for a pug to join us. We went there, and the first thing a pug player will always do is run to the camping spot. First thing we all say is "If you die down there, nobody is coming to save you".
First they do is show displeasure that it isn't easy. They brought a scorpion as a weapon.
The match was hard (geth suck to begin with), and they died about 15 times (we all died like ~7 so it was still a pretty bad match), but they seemed to complain every single wave (though it was partially inaudible).
I'm curious... Do FBWGG players tend to suck like this? Every time i get thrown in one the match goes to hell if they get overrun. How is it fun playing with a bunch of people who suck and don't belong on the difficulty?
We got a full extraction*
suprised you got a full extraction.
True Gold Players don't farm, i have yet to understand why players who automatically think when playing Geth/Noveria they must run to the Farm Spot. Personally, I always stay on top, I find it much more fun....though I never play Geth.
From reading some of these other comments, I can only laugh at those who don't like this thread. I always wish we could have "In-Game" Kicks. At least a Temporary Trial...
BTW
what's the best way to Troll farmers on Noveria? I would like to do this, never done it. Since I'm not sure what's the exact location to run to make the Geth spawn behind them?

Put the decoy behind the counter.
Claim it's bugged when they tell you to stop
And yes, I'm surprised we extracted too. A player I was with got kicked by us (he took too long) and he didn't come back till like wave 5. We ran out of medigels because of the damn pyros. But we worked much better when he arrived.

Play a Vorcha. Put yourself behind them, use Flamer, and shout in the mic, ' PYRO BEHIND YOU'.
Randoms then proceed to leave cover and get killed.

GI with GPS works better.
Also, to the thread in general, as someone who used to farm regularly and still does on occasion, farming doesn't mean that you can't play gold or plat well.

We always have to use rockets when I get a hack at the top of the stairs - that and getting there in the first place
As far as playing wbw Geth without doing the camping thing - hell I don't like playing vs the Geth period - much prefer Reapers or Cerberus.
Edit: Prefer Cerberus or Reapers even on that map

No, it doesn't. I still don't remember this match though. And Kroguard fixes all Geth related problems.

I know the only times I've farmed on Gold on Noveria (Geth) is when I play Randoms and I'm forced too Farm since I'm unable to Solo Gold on my own.
I farm on Platinum but.......that's frickin understandable unless I have an Elite Team.

Dude, seriously, there's an easy way to make geth fun to fight. Just whip out your Kroguard with a Reegar and melee ALL the things.
That's one thing I don't understand. Why stay behind a counter on White when you can have 4 Kroguards with Reegars on Glacier ? It's much easier and definitely not as boring. Might be faster too. How come farmers don't do that ?

I actually get actively angry when people say Geth are the easiest faction, because I know what kind of player they are. They think that the ability of grenades to stop you from relying solely on counter-grabs is actually enough to make every other class harder. I also got really annoyed when, on a W/G/P farming run, the guys said that they liked Platinum more than Gold because it was difficult. "You can actually run around on gold," someone said. HOW IS COUNTER-HIDING MORE FUN!? When I asked how they usually played gold, they said White/Geth.
There are not enough facepalms for this sort. I know I'm not too far above them, because I've only ever taken Platinum by camping like a **** (prefer Glacier, but people used to white suck there, and it's harder to find a game), but at least I don't pretend to be a Platinum-level player when I can only really do it by being cheap as hell.

The problem is that Glacier farmers just want to camp in the little baby room and not wolf packing the spawns which a 4 krogan death squad would be more than ideal for. Risky, fast-paced fun>>>>>sitting in a room and spaming 'smash' for 25 minutes.

becuase clacier requires you to be OOC except for a control room farm. but most people dont know this and/or don't feel comfortbale in a small space. the Rio connex box farm is fun too and works well

Might be reluctance to over the high likelihood of getting atleast one Vanguard glitch with 3 off-host Kroguards.

That's the weird thing. With Geth and Kroguards, not only would it be easier to finish than if you camped in that room, it'd be far faster. I did it around 16ish minutes with just 1 friend before and we were messing around. A full team actually trying to do it would wipe the floor with them.
