Yea, sometimes FF.Net is a PITA to the point you want to snatch yourself bald. I used to obsess over how many people read my fics and I'd get good numbers and no reviews and then freak out if people didn't write anything, they didn't like them!  I never got a 'bad' review though so, I'm going to assume most folks enjoyed the stories.Image IPB

One reason I like posting here is because people tend to read AND comment since it's relatively simple to post replies on the social boards.

My only concern with posting here is the ratings. Mind you, I am really not one to write a lot of descriptive sexual content, but I do have a tendency to use violence (well it is Dragon Age) and some foul language (partially because Isabela curses like a sailor), so I wouldn't want to post and get into trouble.

Yeah, FF.Net irritates the heck out of me with their limitations in settings. Nothing can be right aligned, tabs don't work, etc.

I'm not so much worried that people "won't like it". It's more a case of I get tired of hearing why I'm "writing it wrong". My sister is one of the worst ones. It has to be canon, exactly to the storyline, or it's no good. She's that way about everything. Example: my sister thinks vampires should not be pretty. I tried saying that "wouldn't they be more dangerous if humans were physically attracted to them?" But she wouldn't even listen. "Vampires are Dracula and Nosferatu. They aren't pretty, and they definitely do not sparkle". It's the 'it can't happen because I don't believe it can' is what drives me crazy.

It's just an opioion, everyone is allowed to have one, don't know why but that is just how it is.  On a side note, your sister wasn't a fan of Twilight.  But the main point (So this thread won't go completely to a different direction) everyone has a different say.

LOL Isabela does tend to have quite the potty mouth, doesn't she?  Image IPBI figure though, her worst word used in the game is "Sh*t" which is still scrambled on the boards, but acceptable.  I did one DA2 FF and did use the word a couple of times (from Isabela) and no one seemed offended.  It's not gratuitous, it's part of her characterization.

I think the standards are more stringent about the F word (you know, the Queen Mother of all dirty words--something I never heard Isabela say) and blatant sex.  There's plenty of blood, violence and some language in the game itself and unless you go overboard describing bloody axe murder, I don't see where that would be a problem either.

I guess I could always post it. I would hope they would warn me before banning me from BSN or something drastic like that, and if they were to ask me to take it down, I definitely would. I'll post it soon, but I'm in the progress of doing some editing. One of the other players here read it and made some suggestions, and so I'm doing a little editing/re-writing. Posting on FF is still a pain, I posted a re-vamp two days ago and it's still not showing lol

There is information on the main section of the 'create' DA2 forum that indicates I'm not actually supposed to post fan-stories ON this site, but I've started a blog so that I can post informing readers about updates. :)
