Until yesterday, I found no setting to alter it except turning Dynamic Shadows on or off. On that point, yesterday I  found adding ShadowDepthBias=0.1 fixes it, but I'm not sure how that affects Dynamic Shadows or colour saturation. It clearly affects shadows in some capacity and sometimes takes a moment for them to fully kick in on a fresh scene, but at least the shadow warping is gone and I get to use Dynamic Shadows. If it worked properly, I wouldn't have to make any sacrifice.

Like I said, the warping effect is only in certain places. But one of those places is certain lighting conditions on the Citadel, which is awful on elbows. Oh, and the reflection of monitor glare on faces, yikes.

If anyone's wondering, I have an nVidia 580ti with the latest drivers. So it's not my hardware. I've heard others have this glitch occasionally, both ATI and nVidia both. I just tend to notice it more because I edit video I took of games I played via Fraps.

I never had this issue with ME1 or ME2, but I was also able to edit a lot more flags in the .ini files to address shadow issues so I probably never saw it because I pre-emptively changed stuff.

It's not your hardware, you're right. It's the game itself. I play on Xbox 360 and the black crush is the worst I've ever seen in a video game. How BioWare screwed up Unreal Engine 3 so damn bad is beyond me. Their tech guys should seriously be ashamed.

Cutscene Avenger needs to go away. Use an Avenger if there's no Assault Rifle available, but use the currently selected AR in the cutscene if there is. Wasn't a problem in ME2. It's unlikely to be fixed outside of DLC (Ashley used a Mattock in Leviathan cutscenes. I was shocked) but it would be nice.

Its because of the UE3 that ME3 uses.

I understand that a fix is improbable/highly unlikely. Be it a result of the base engine or the coding or whatever. It's just something that bugs me and pulls me out of the experience.

The glitch from ME 2 is still evident in ME 3 where if you walk too close to some object or another (seems random) Shepard will walk straight up into the air.

Honestly, I just wish they'd get off their arses and fix the screwed up quest journal, even though they've already said they won't. Ugh. Idiots. How they can fail something as basic as that after flawlessly implementing it in ME1 & ME2 is beyond me. Careless stupidity at its finest ladies and gentleman. Oy.

Really because Mass Effect 2 used the same engine for the PS3 and most times whatever gun you had equipped would appear in the cutscene I just think the team got lazy on this department IMO.
