liggy002 -- why Chris would even bother asking if we believed in the IT at the hold the line forums. Why would he do that?

My theory and speculation... to get ITers jacked up. Keep them on the hook. There will be no IT payoff in the end, but Bioware will continue to sprinkle little things in DLC they know will be fodder for ITers.

Corporations aren't ethical but what if they were to a certain extent?  Things would be so much better for a lot of people.    This business strategy may work for them but an alternate strategy would be to simply deliver on an IT DLC even if it wasn't their plan to begin with.  Clearly, they aren't going to do so but I find it cruel to continue to offer false hope to people who deserve better.

Bioware could make a lot of money and at the same time make their fans happy.  There is a compromise to be had here and a win win situation is created.  The IT EC would be optional so we weren't sold an incomplete product and the pro enders get to keep their ending.  The satisfaction and happiness of their fans should be their number one priority instead of money being their God.  Imagine that, a Corporation with ethics.  It would really be a sight for sore eyes.

This is all just meaningless banter of course, since they simply won't do it.  One thing is for sure, Karma has a way of getting you when you wrong people.  There is no escaping it.

I couldn't read that without laughing, especially concerning this company.

I cannot believe i actually sat down for 1 and a half hours to watch the IT that is the longest youtube clip that i have ever actually watched. Alot of his points are very interesting some more so then others but there is one thing he failed to see...the part about it becoming DLC. Though there is a possibility everything he says may be true the simple fact is it may just not be hint at a DLC ending at all but in fact an opening to another part of the series in which Shepard was in fact indoctrinated and perhaps all the events after his initial indoctrination never happened at all (including the reaper invasion) leaving developers the chance to continue other stories within the universe as they see fit and even so they can just do a prequal.

As to wether Chris is lying no one can say but if he is then that is not so suprising. Who in there right mind would reveal the story of a book before anyone has read it? It would completely ruin the experience as you already know what to expect correct? I say we all should really just sit back and enjoy the game for now and see what comes that is the most exciting way to do it. Clevernoob really does have ALOT of time on his hands i cannot believe he actually sat down for god knows how many hours to make this doc.

Ok, so i'm rather open to the whole IT thing, because it makes sense considering how ME3 turned out, but this is a little excessive.

I.T. isn't the worst thing Bioware could do, we already got that crap.

People want to immerse themseves, more power to them if BW decide to go with the most lore friendly solution. I don't care if it makes people happy, why not?

Yea, I agree with this. Anything is better then what we have. Hell even Chuck Norris showing up and roundhouse kicking the Catalyst instantly killing every other Reaper through the shockwave travelling through-out their consciousness.

At least then we'd know not to take it seriously.

The Indoctrination theory works as theory, nothing more, it in the end all comes down to subjective interpertation of visuals and dialogue, as in the end I could simply claim that the endings were aslo proof  of something ,not of attempted Indoctrination, but more rather proof of the writers lack of understanding of science, lore and storytelling, and wh could prov me wrong?

Is this post really necessary? At this point anyone who still believes in IT is not going to give it up.

They're also not gonna let it down.

This guy succeeded in what he set out to do. Stir things up and draw attention to his video.

I say personal gain, and nothing more. He looks to be lying his butt off.

They said we wouldn't have an A, B, or C ending or a reaper off button, too.

This seems like the plan currently..

What bothers me, is that Julian says "they can't possibly write an ending that bad, with so many plotholes, and so much evidence, I have faith that bioware are not that bad and will provide us with a better ending at some point.. maybe". And it seems most folk agree with him.

Then Chris comes on the forum and says "Nope Bioware are really that bad and will not provide a better ending."

This boggles the mind..

Now we're in Territory: Is Chris purposefully causing a s***storm? Why? What do Bioware have to gain? If not, why comment on it at all?..

I've become confused and disheartened by what I've seen and read over the past few months. :(

My biggest issue with clevernoob is that he's very disrespectful to the fans and the fact that they chose different than him and the ones who try to debate him, immediately calling them dumb or trolls

His rant on people who liked the Extended Cut and trying to push Destroy as "the only ending" is rather evident of this.

It's the Konami Code.

You ask for a code, you know. B)

That joke would have worked a lot better if "femshep creation code" hadn't already been specified.

I was born in 88, and first console was nintendo. So the whole age thing doesn't apply, it was this ^

Of course Chris is lying. They are all lying to their gain. They lied before and now they are doing this again.

Why they just don't say: IT theory is not true. FULLSTOP.

Some of the things he said in his vid did make me cringe a bit. I put it down to general frustration, I'll bet he gets asked the same questions over and over again, the answers to which are probably already in his vids.

I suspect that's why he kinda says he's washing his hands of ME3 for the time being, and doing something else.

Because then the "Was it a hallucination" giganteum will be moved to fanfiction and all those disheartend Mass Effect fans will come leaking out onto the rest of the forum. I think the mods would want to prevent that at all costs.

As usual, two-faced and no-brained literalist rantings. I'm glad I have a long term memory so I can remember all the patently false things that the writers told us about ME3's ending before launch. Then the literalists think IT should be dropped and mocked the second BW says it's not valid... but then BW says it IS a valid theory and they don't respond in kind. Then they have the unmitigated gall to start this crap? Jesus. No matter how low the standard, people like the OP still manage to ooze under it.

BW has lied about ME3. Many times. That's a fact. We only want to know which ones were the lies. The developer's words can't be trusted because they've said so many things that are blatantly contradictory and/or untrue. So yes, some of us take them with a grain of salt and instead focus on what hasn't proven unreliable: the content of the game itself. And maybe, just maybe, the reason the developers' words seem... off, is because of that quote by Hudson saying they want the player to feel or experience as Shepard does. Since I know I have to spell everything out for literalists, the implication is that if the intent of the Reapers is to trick Shepard then in turn BW tries to trick the player. Remember all those times in DA that player complained all they had to do as a mage was tell the demon "no thanks, I'd rather keep my soul"? Yeah. It's trying to improve on that.

And next time you want to try to argue this, take a shower first. Your head reeks from where you've been keeping it.

I personally think "Project X" is as much of a crock as that "Truth" DLC. However, Bioware is known to lie to keep details unknown. Like there not being multiplayer, 16 endings, and choices like the Rachni mattering. All were bold lies told as if they were absolute fact, so Bioware statements are pretty useless on the matter.

If you want to deny Project X, just state that there isn't a shred of proof other than word of mouth that it even exists. It's a better argument overall.

Sorry to be pedantic, but 16 endings was never said by Bioware, it was a fan conspiracy

I'm pretty sure it was IGN who said that.

IGN is another blight same as Allers and Twitter... three from five things which was harming the ME franchise for awhile.

It'd be pretty suspicious if BW didn't post on that topic.
