This phenomenon has gotten completely out of hand and needs to be stopped.  Tonight my friend even kicked me just because I was going to bed! I mean, I'm so tired that I'm seeing double and she's gonna kick me from the damned game.  Evil, evil little minx!

What?! Who would do such a thing?! Image IPB

How dare she! Umm... I know it's a she... cuz... uh... only chicks get called a "minx"... yeah, yeah, that's it.  Image IPB

The horror. I bet you're gonna have nightmares tonight, aren't ya? Shucks. Here, let me call the wahbulance for you. I heard she was nice enough to let you buy your pack and SEE what you got in your pack before prompting the others to kick you though. So she can't be all bad, right? Hehehe.

This makes no sense at all. Why would your friend kick you for being tired? Why would your friend kick you? Why is she your friend if she kicks you? Why wouldn't you call it a night if you were so tired you were seeing double?

Because I'm *AHEM* she is EVIL. Pure and simple. So evil that she'll bring a Vorcha into a gold. Image IPB

Oh, and no offense, with the exception of this weekend or coming week, your level 1 would get booted if my friends and I were looking for a 4th. No matter what class they really are, a level 1 is pretty much a really squishy soldier, and I'm not carrying someone who doesn't add anything to the group simply so they can promote.

Thats not a random lobby.... its you and your friends lobby . Now i'm sure you've come across alot of less skilled players being a burden on you and your squad. Forgive me if I come off cheescakey, but I promote regularly and have adapted to playing level 1s just as effective as any level 20 you'll come across. This games AI is the same if your using a level 1 or a level 20. Once you learn how to "manipulate" the AI, level doesn't matter as much as skill.

Btw... a level 1 soldier has 50% damage boost to weapons and a low recharge time tech bursting ability(frag or CS whichever you perfer). If you know how to use the tools BW has given you its easy to notice all you do when you level up a soldier is increase the intensity at which you play with it. The game is about teamwork. I know because I've beaten multiple platinum matches with a team of level 1s. (not camping) work with your squad and you'll get a helovalot more success than thinking level makes much of an impact on anything.

I've had so many bad experiences with quitters in the last weeks that I'm going to vote kick EVERYONE who only equips perma-gear and doesn't equip any consumables on their characters. In my experience those people tend to quit immediately after they got downed and you're not reviving them in the next 2 sec. I've had a game with 2 friends where 4 players quit consecutively within the 3 waves. That is just plain stupid and annoying.
I'm not gonna burn through my stuff to pull your chestnuts out of the fire. I don't need the credits and I don't need the hassle of dragging underskilled, underperforming and most of all unwilling players through matches even though I could. So yeah, I'll vote kick you and not even feel the slightest bit bad about it.
I'm also gonna kick you if you're using a Slayer or a Shadow when you're someone I don't know, since those seem to be the classes at the moment that are mostly played by dumba*ses.
If I don't like your loadout, I'm gonna kick you too on gold (below that it doesn't phase me). That freaking Tempest I with ULM on your VG combined with a Graal II is just stupid and bad. If it works for you, fine, but I'm not gonna put up with those shenanigans.
Yeah, that's right, I'm just THAT elitist. Now go cry on BSN!

(º.º;)  So I can't play with my GPSMG as main/only weapon with my destroyer, with maxed missle launcher ability, with a pistol amp and stability mod and warp ammo? Missle launcher sets off Biotic Explosions you know....

For you, I'd make an exception, but only if you switch that pistol amp to a shotgun amp. :P

I've only been kicked once, and that was for something I said in the lobby. A sense of humor can sometimes be damning. If you are being kicked multiple times, I suggest looking inward. Something is not right.

Ah, I did forget about that.

Few things are funnier than kicking someone out of a game they created. I'm surprised Bioware never put a measure in there to stop that.

But I'm secretly kind of glad they didn't ;]

I still laugh every time I remember this time when I got kicked from my lobby. Then got an angry message chewing me out for making him endure host migration afterwards.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Occasionally on Gold / Plat, i get kicked by morons who don't realize that N7 level 120 is the maximum if you don't choose to randomly reset to level 1 for no reason. But even that isn't all that common.

If your 120, you "look" no different than anyone else who is 120 just "starting out," no matter what you say or do. You are expecting people to "assume" your an experienced player in a random lobby? They aren't morons, I'd have booted you as well. I bet if you joined and you were N7 12K, no one but a actuall moron would have booted you. (Not saying all high N7 players are good players, as much as N7 plays a larger part than the choices people make in this game vs the BS thats flying around BSN. Because only people on BSN believe that N7 plays no part in the game.)

Really now, is it necessary to boot people for everything? BioWare needs to start banning people for this as they have said themselves that "griefing" is bannable offense. Is it not griefing when people sit in a lobby booting everyone that joins for petty reasons? It absolutely is griefing.

Got a Striker? Kicked.
Using a biotic when others are running tech classes? Kicked.
No mic in a R/R/Bronze? Kicked.
Having a mic in Gold? Kicked.
Slayer? Kicked.
Geth? Kicked.
Piranha? Kicked.
Kill a Pyro before you revive your teammate? Kicked.
Take 30 seconds to get a glass of water between games? Kicked.

This phenomenon has gotten completely out of hand and needs to be stopped.  Tonight my friend even kicked me just because I was going to bed! I mean, I'm so tired that I'm seeing double and she's gonna kick me from the damned game.  Evil, evil little minx!

Geth? On gold or platinum, good enough reason. All of the others are not really good reasons, thought vanguards are notorious for glitching into weird places if their connection is bad. Oh, and the striker can be used for shenanigans. I've only seen one guy on a match of platinum used it, and he did the missile glitch. Obviously I left as soon as I noticed (wave 1), but considering that it happened, I wouldn't let someone with a striker into my matches anymore.

Yeah, N7 120 means you haven't been around for long or never took any part in operations which probably means you don't play that often. Experienced players don't just sit with same builds forever they will experiment with it all the time, respec cards won't cut it. If on top of that you have some weird loadout  prepare to be kicked.

This actually reminds me of the other night when a group of my friends were all together in one private room. We were messing around putting kick votes on each other and just being complete goobers for, like, 5 minutes. Then, with all the X switches going on, we accidentally ended up kicking one of our friends. Died laughing and sent a new invite. We then proceeded to kick each other out until everyone had to be re-invited back in at least once.

I have no idea how long this went on for, but I was crying laughing so hard by the time we finally started the next match.

That is literally the only time I have ever been kicked in this game. LOL

Well griefing is commonly defined by continual harassment by a given party or individual over the course of a couple or more encounters to which the sole purpose of their actions is to cause you discomfort or aggrevation.

Problem is it's not griefing if different people in different rooms kick you because unless your friends with these ****s and keep going to their room I guarantee you that your being thrown in different rooms as Mass Effect 3 does not let you choose your game room like you would in, say, Diablo 2. So on that note it's not griefing.

However I agree with you it's unfair and some of the reasons even here on PC that people kick for is just retarded. I went to turn around and put sugar in my cup of coffee, I already heated it up on the previous game on wave 11 which I died on and was just sitting there. I had already had the coffee and cream and sugar and all I had to do was pour and stir it only took me six seconds. And I was kicked I was already fitted out and ready to go. I just didn't realize they had readied up since they said nothing.

I actually find that it's pretty much impossible to get the 3 votes to kick someone and I'm on xbox. If a guy is taking forever to ready up I always just leave because you can find a new game faster than you can kick someone who's obviously gone to lunch and left their xbox on.

I think I votekicked someone only once, when he/she just wouldn't ready after a game for several minutes without warning. And he/she was lvl 20 in the previous game already, so wasn't busy distributing skill points either. Distributing skillpoints after leveling up is a reasonable excuse to take one or two minutes longer to ready in my book. But usually, I simply leave.

When I get into a new lobby and someone doesn't ready for several minutes, I simply leave. Which is especially funny if that person is the host and the two other players are votekicking, since they'll not only instantly get rid of the person not readying, but are left with only half a team at best IF they decide to stick together in the new lobby formed by either player.

I'm just not fond of kicking, and rarely see reason to do so. Especially not if you're not even hosting. If the host votes to kick, then I'll consider it, but more often than not, I'll simply leave as well.

I find kick votes amusing. When I'm in a lobby, I don't kick for just about anything apart from very tiny N7 levels/very weak weapons on gold/platinum. I often enter a lobby and then see kick votes appear on someone and when I do I just ready up and wait; at that point, I'm the only one in the lobby who could possibly be kicked. The night before last I actually waited 10 minutes for a match (I'm usually out before 2 unless I can see/hear someone adjusting their character) out of spite because two players were waiting me to add my kick vote for a low N7 that was not only readied up but had equipped all 4 slots. They gave in, the match went fine, and hopefully they learned a valuable lesson about caring for others.

The kick fest earlier this evening made me laugh. I ended up in a lobby with two players, one of whom already had a vote. Within seconds, I had a vote, too (mine was justifiable: Kroguard on non-host). I decided to vote the remaining guy with no kicks (share the wealth, ya know?), who then promptly took his vote off of me and slapped it on the level 11 adept that joined. I couldn't tell who was kicking who at this point, but by the end, we all ended up with one vote. We then promptly readied up and proceeded to do quite well during the match.

Highlight of my evening.

This has been happening quite a bit lately I think it's funny.
