Kicks happen all the time for me.

It could be because of the fact that I go out of my way to ensure shield recharge of my teammates by constantly placing a geth turret next to my teammates, and doing all the objectives, but I don't know.

All I know is that it's rough in PUGs

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Occasionally on Gold / Plat, i get kicked by morons who don't
realize that N7 level 120 is the maximum if you don't choose to randomly reset to level 1 for no reason. But even that isn't all that common.

If your 120, you "look" no different than anyone else who is 120 just "starting out," no matter what you say or do. You are expecting people to "assume" your an experienced player in a random lobby? They aren't morons, I'd have booted you as well. I bet if you joined and you were N7 12K, no one but a actuall moron would have booted you. (Not saying all high N7 players are good players, as much as N7 plays a larger part than the choices people make in this game vs the BS thats flying around BSN. Because only people on BSN believe that N7 plays no part in the game.)

Yeah, N7 120 means you haven't been around for long or never took any part in operations which probably means you don't play that often. Experienced players don't just sit with same builds forever they will experiment with it all the time, respec cards won't cut it. If on top of that you have some weird loadout  prepare to be kicked.

I was N7 120 for the longest time.  I only really premote for weekend ops.   Actually topped the first Gold game I played using only a Mantis and Planax with my 120 N7.  N7 means jack past 120 (unless your character is >20 at N7 120)

IDK about you but 95% of the time the next SP/PSP/VP I buy after using a Respec card packs a new one for me.

Also if a N7 10K+ joins a game I'm in with a incredibly stupid load out in U/U/G I'd kick them.  I don't care if you've premoted an army, if your load out is incresibly stupid an N7 of 10K+ won't fix it.

Ah, I did forget about that.

Few things are funnier than kicking someone out of a game they created. I'm surprised Bioware never put a measure in there to stop that.

But I'm secretly kind of glad they didn't ;]

I still laugh every time I remember this time when I got kicked from my lobby. Then got an angry message chewing me out for making him endure host migration afterwards.

When I started playing multiplayer, it took me 8 tries to get into a game. on bronze.

I was kicked 7 times in a row.

Got a Striker? Kicked. Blame the missile glitchers
Using a biotic when others are running tech classes? Kicked. Blame yourself for not being a team player
Slayer? Kicked. No one likes that screen-shaking bullsh*t

All I can say to the rest is stop being a crybaby and make your own lobby or solo.

I stopped playing month ago, it got really repetitive and moved on to other games. If kicking is getting out of hand I am glad I left when I did so I did not have put up with that.

"Oh they kicked me!" "Oh I got disconnected!" "Oh this needs to be nerfed!" "Oh that was the most stupid nerf ever!" "Oh they won't fix this glitch!" "Oh I want more DLC!"

Point made.

Have to say I've been pretty impressed with my recent lobbies on PS3. I readied up with a Level 1 Destroyer on Gold (tbf I had plenty of equipnment on) and both lobbies accepted it no prob. Did well as well (given that I haven't played in over a month), but then again, the Destroyer is a beast at any level.

Honestly speaking, I've never been kicked from a lobby before, and I have been playing since the demo...

But this is why you've never been kicked. You have experience and skill that newcomers don't have. What I've seen is that the 'veterans' who have been playing for more than two or three months and playing enough to have some superior skills (along with probably having played a lot of other games at higher levels) has within it a faction that consists of a bunch of elitist tools. In game, random matches, I've seen some great vets who chat with me, help me on game stuff, teach me stuff to make me a better player, and then I end up friending them and playing games with them often.

It's the elitist faction that kicks for not good reason and forgets they were once new to all games which includes this game. It's also this elitist faction that doesn't understand most people don't know all the details of the game like what is the proper loadout or exactly how you are 'suppose' to play a character, etc. They're just elistist tools who get off on feeling superior.

And kicking or slamming people for their lack of knowledge and/or skill in a game where they come to have fun and don't know all the ins and outs of 'yet' because nobody is explaining it to them is the lowest of the low. It's equivalent to making fun of a sick person for having an illness where you have the treatment but hey, slam then instead of give them the treatment to help them get better.

People take the kicking thing way too hard, when in a party we kick players to make room for another friend after a game.
Or in a gold lobby everyone takes their best gear and one takes nothing, not even bothering to equip gear.
Having said that, i don't like being kicked.

I've never seen anyone get kicked who didn't deserve it normally cause they were not a team player or lost the match for us due to lack of skills.

I've never really had anyone kick me, its not a huge problem people seem to just be tired of certain classes I've seen a major increase in classes the use Biotic slash and Electronic slash get kicked but that's mostly due the the epidemic of those classes spamming those powers to annoying levels.

But i don't think I see it as a problem, mostly kicked players for not readying up within even 5 minutes.

I love how people that QQ about being kicked are almost ALWAYS on 360.

Apparently gaming on 360 is serious business.

This I agree with.  I've never kicked anyone for being low N7 or bad loadouts.  We all have to learn, and if someone's in over their head they'll usually pick up on it pretty quick.

I've stopped giving advice (like mods that don't work on their guns or obviously bad load outs) on mic though because not once has someone listened.  Props to you if you do, though.

I felt bad the other night playing two PUGs with the three same people, two of which were friends definitely (named almost the same, both around N7 2500) and this other random guy. Just farming FBWGG so nothing important, I just wanted to get some credits and not have to pay too much attention. N7 Demolisher, I took the corner of the counter and set up shop, one of the two friends didn't like that at all. In between the first waves would run up and punch me trying to get me to move, but I never did. By the end he had 20k, I had 80k, with his competent friend and other random having ~40k. So I thought that would put an end to that, no kicks appeared or anything in the lobby so we play again. This time the idiot friend decided to camp outside, the problem was the other random guy was out there too. So that entire game went by with him trying to get the random to move. Once again I get highest score by a lot, with the random and competent friend getting ok scores, and the other guy hardly getting anything. Yet a kick vote immediately goes to the random, followed just a few seconds later by a second. I wanted nothing to do with those two idiots (one for being the idiot, the other for not calling out the first one on it), so I left the lobby. Sadly it probably caused the random guy to think I voted to kick too, since they would now have the majority.

But yeah, most kicks are pretty stupid. I did kick a N7 71 with an Avenger II in a Platinum lobby yesterday though, and I didn't feel bad about it at all.

Not listening is the tough part when you want to help. Mabye they get confused or don't have the mods? Eh, who knows? But you tried for a bit and that's better than nothing, right?

I'm just baffled by how many seem to foget they were new once upon a time to this game. Even wonder if they would beat a baby for not speaking in full sentences, walking, taking total care of themselves, etc. Also baffled by the fact that it's supposed to be fun. If you're that elitist then find a like minded group and run with them and only them. Build it over time so it's a nice big group of tools that can hang together and leave the masses to have fun and not get kicked of stupid stuff.

This actually reminds me of the other night when a group of my friends were all together in one private room. We were messing around putting kick votes on each other and just being complete goobers for, like, 5 minutes. Then, with all the X switches going on, we accidentally ended up kicking one of our friends. Died laughing and sent a new invite. We then proceeded to kick each other out until everyone had to be re-invited back in at least once.

I have no idea how long this went on for, but I was crying laughing so hard by the time we finally started the next match.

That is literally the only time I have ever been kicked in this game. LOL

Sounds like some of the private groups I run with...Image IPB

The only (two) times I've been kicked, were from my own lobbies, after my wife went emotional meltdown over the amount of time I was spending playing the game, instead of waiting at her beck and call.  After having to leave the room on no notice, and my friends waiting some reasonable amount of time, they kicked me to refresh the lobby.  It was really embarrassing that one of the friends was in both instances and they were only about a week apart...Image IPB

It's not being elitist. It's not being patient enough with complete strangers to explain how the game works.
