LADIES, Alistair or Zevran?

On topic; I liked Alistair at first but he is a bit needy. I understand why and some of my characters melt into goo when he's around, but Zevran is... fascinating. I was left wondering how much of his lust and killing is an act. Plus the earring and poetry dialogues were adorably sweet. If you're wondering about the poetry dialogue read the next paragraph or skip:
He tries to recite some poetry to you. The problem? The *only one* he knows is a cringe-inducingly bad bit of sex poetry. It's the only thing he knows though, so it's what he recites to you. The nervous delivery is both hilarious and oh so adorable.

All of his lines are my favorites, but I loved after the rose when he commented about "getting past the uncomfortable things and getting on to the steamy bits".
If my husband was a much lesser man I would think he would be threatened by the Ali pixels after all the gibbering I have been doing about the storyline!
As someone stated earlier Zev is a shopping buddy. I bet he knows how to find great deals on shoes.
Tait
PS. I get shivers when I click on Ali during battles and he says "My love?"
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee

He is seriously my dream man, in every way possible. So unbelievably romantic and noble and well-mannered and funny and witty and probably the most handsome RPG character I have ever had the fortune of resting eyes on.
And that VOICE! I know it's Steve Valentine behind that, but still! My GOD, that voice. Wow. Just wow.
I want him. NOW.

Cullen: I just want you to know... I love you.
PC: I love you, too.
Cullen: No, no... I REALLY love you!
PC: Er... and I love you, too.
Cullen:You don't understand! I think about you all the time, every waking moment! I look at you and I... I want to touch your skin! I want to brush your hair!
PC: I don't...
Cullen: Ever since I saw you in the mage tower I wanted to protect you. Keep you somewhere safe. FOREVER.
PC: ...
PC: ...awkward.

I tried to make an elf just for zev because I like the guy..but she fell for the rose thing and jumped into bed with the dashing knight. Its the stupid shy arched eyebrow thing that he does when he asks..just curls my toes every time. My BF does that and...man its like my kryptonite. Damn you clever animation and sexy voice actor!

I can't take Zervan seriously. I've gotten his poem, his earring, and all I can think is "Really?".
Both men have a hard time expressing thier feelings. Both are scared, to a point. Alistar works through his and Zevran hides his. I don't like that Zevran won't actually come out and says he loves you. He sort-of implies it at one point, back then does a quick cover up. You also can't kiss him that often. For someone who thinks sex is easy come easy go, he can't even handle a public kiss once in a blue moon?
Plus he is shorter than me and has long hair. Two big negatives. Shallow, I know, but I like my men to look like men. Otherwise I might as well be dating a female. >_>

I was totally into Alistair before Zev came along. However, I instantly got a crush on him the first time he started cracking jokes after getting his arse whooped by me.
Plus Zevran reminds me of Puss in Boots ( Shrek )
And I'm a complete sucker for his type of characters. I know, lame: he's a great character but anyone who says that he's particularily original one ( Alistair is far more original ) is being silly. But there it is, I just like the bad boy with rough past who is really a nice guy once you get to know him ( plus intelligent and practical to boot ).
Also, TANTRUM!Alistair "BAWWW I DUN WANNA BE DA KING U CANNAE MAEK ME DX" is a such a turn-off. Man up and take your responsibility you stupid git, you think I wanted the responsibility to save the damn mages, save the damn Redcliffe, get a new King for the dorfs, chase some INSANE legend of some crazy holy artifact and do a whole host of other nutty jobs and top it all with saving the whole world? Well, I as a player was happy to of course but my character ( all my characters thus far ) have been pretty much horrified and emo about the whole thing, but they do what needs to be done.

Women don't normally go for shy men, Alistair is funny and does communicate his emotions, but hes not outgoing and doesn't take risks. He kinda comes off as being a child or immature.
Zevran, has some physical disadvantages, but he also comes off as being too easy. I don't really like him and his persona.
now look at Teagan, a Noble, confident standing up for a cause (readily takes a leadership position), no physical disadvantages, an all around good guy.
If Bioware does a 'return to Redcliffe' I expect to see Teagan get a larger role, especially with the ladies.

I guess I'll start a new playthrough, where I will "try" Zevran. But I might just miss Alistair too much!

So - Alistair. Sweet, charming, funny, honest, physically appealing, strong without being macho (ick), and willing to let ME lead (win).
Now, if we could choose other npcs: Teaghan and Gorim would be the two top picks imo.

I'm going with Zev nearly every time because he's more honest and mature. Most of the "bragging" that comes of out Zev is actually subtle self-depreciation. Zev knows he isn't a good person and isn't even that good of an assassin. He maybe playful, but when he realizes you're serious he sobers up and turns out to be amazingly mature, responsible, and *gasp* humble.
