I don't know but I think the main culprit why my game crashes (e.g. Dragon Age Origins stopped working error) is because i edit the appearance of some items (specifically armors). Simply put, I mess with their .uti files. How do I fix this?
Editing some items in the toolset causes my game to crash

Delete the contents of My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override\\toolsetexport\\ and see if you still get the crash. If you do, delete the modified items to see if that is indeed the cause. In theory it should be hard to actually crash the game with modified UTIs. At worst the item's model might not show up. What exactly are you changing?

Hi! Well, i delete the .uti, so far no crashes but the problem is the appearance reverts to its original form. What should i do now?

If an edited item is indeed causing crashes then you need to try incrementally adding back the changes you made one at a time and testing them in-game. Hopefully that way you should be able to isolate the exact cause.

Hello everyone! First of all I would like to apologize, I've been out for long (school works grrr...). Anyways, I'm still not sure if my first assumption is true, which is modifying some things in the toolset causes my game to crash. With that, I tried to "add" my custom items into the game using this blog:

Since then I experienced no more crashes. I tried to install as much mods as I can get, still no crashes. I set all the parameters to HIGH, still no crashes. So there, I hope it helps people experiencing this odd problem (or is it just me haha

Oh oh one more thing, before I did all those things I said above, I reset all the changes I've made in the toolset, uninstall and reinstall it (the toolset of course).
