I think I have brought about 20-25 packs since launch mostly after DLCs. Like I said, I'm sure BW is touched by your acceptance of the current lotto system but I'm not. Yeah I want to upgrade my gear and weapons at a reasonable rate, especially if I spend real money. Since I only get crap, I stop spending money. If you continue to spend money, you are supporting an idiotic store system with idiotic spending habits.Ravenmyste wrote...
Lol op how many psp sp did you buy before you quit spending for you weapons... and now saying this

Should I be ashamed of wanting a system that will benefit me? Like I said, I'm sure BW is moved to tears by you being a corporate drone.

Bioware has never stated using BW Points will increase your chances of getting an ultra-rare weapon. You're drowning in your own assumptions and self-pity. Judging by your posts in this thread, you're going to need more than a life jacket to pull you up, as you're already at Kursk depth. Good luck.samb wrote...
Because you'll just get useless lvl 4 comsumables. I had some free points from doing some surveys and spent them on 6 spectre packs. 4/6 gave me junk. There was a rumor that buying packs with real money improves your chances of getting better stuff since it makes good bussiness sense, but that is not the case.
If the micro transaction were supposed to be BW's mint then it fails to deliver the goods. Don't throw your money away.
That's your own fault for beliveing in rumors. Before calling other people "idiots & "morons" for spending their own money on packs (yet you claim not to be against that, so why demean others?).....well.....I'll let you figure out the rest.

Bioware isn't forcing us to buy packs, but they do little to give us incentive to as well.Mendelevosa wrote...
Except Bioware is not forcing anyone to spend real currency to buy the packs in the first place. Sure it sucks that level 4 ammo is more common than it should be, but that does not excuse the fact that people spend real money for packs due to weak will. If people find themselves having bad luck while spending digital credits, then why use real money, only to experience the same scenario?
You yourself admitted to spending money packs, are you calling yourself weak willed? I spent money on packs because I have a full time job (like I have an income) and a family. I guess I should be ashamed of myself for using my time to pay my bills and feed my kids. If I was strong willed, I'd farm FBWGG all day long. Wow you really showed me.
My point is the scenario should be different for paying costumers. But it isn't. And since it isn't you shouldn't pay, because 3 dollars for 2 level 4 comsumables just isn't worth it.
The thing is some people experience much better luck over others. When I bought packs, I almost always gotten somehting worthwhle and I mostly buy packs when a new DLC comes out. This way, my chance of getting new and worthwhile items are high. Some people buy packs multiple times, even when a DLC hasn't recently been released, and yet they end up maxing out their ultra rares. And sometimes people don't play often so they buy packs to make up for their absense from the game.
Besides, microtransactions help fund projects and helps the creation of free DLC. You might be calling people idiots because you have had horrible experiences with RNG, but the truth is not everyone has the same bad luck as you do. So it's simple. People have a right to spend their money the way they like. If you don't like the idea of spending real money for items with the same chance of retrieval as using credits, then just don't spend real money. Bioware made the system to influence players to spend real currency, and that system won't be changing anytime soon. It's too profitable for them to revamp it.
FYI: When you call people on BSN idiots, they tend to not take you seriously. Just letting you know.

If you have such a burning passion against Bioware and their store system, how about you write them a stern letter instead of whining on the forums.

Just stating facts which obviously you have no mature response for. Complaining about a rng system that doesn't give you what you 'want' is unproductive and quite frankly hilarious. Yes, I've had awesome luck with the store, but even if I hadn't I would not cry about it. Unlocking items is not what I play the game for.samb wrote...

Maybe one day the RNG gods will be kind to you.....just don't think it'll come anytime soon bud. Stay classy samm-o-lah.

We bought a 2nd Xbox, TB headset, online pass and she dropped $50 on PSPs to get started.
We have the money, she wanted some decent gear to start off. I fail to see a problem.

Anyone who doesn't like the store system doesn't have to pay. Remember all of the people crying for nerfs now? If we have a store system in which a person can buy exactly what s/he wants, the people asking for nerfs will really be upset...and we don't want that. I can hear it now: "Wah, this game is so BORING! Everyone is using the same 2 weapons! What happened to variety in the game!" And you know what? I'd actually agree with them on that one. Being able to buy specific items would likely be a mistake--everyone would use one or two guns and that's it.
And if you still don't like it, then make a formal complaint to Bioware. Offer suggestions in a calm and rational manner. Tell them that you'll actually spend real money if they change the system. Otherwise? Don't buy. Simple solution.

As it is now I could spend and spend and not even get a fraction of anything permenant. Was $224 chump change or should BW just say "we just milked over $200 from samb, I think it's time to make new content with it".
I see a lot of threads complaint about this system and all anyone can come up with is "BW wants money". Well $224 is a lot of money, its me buying the game 4 times over again. The real answer is "BW wants infinite money".
