It is your right as a costumer to take your money elsewhere, but you're not "taking a stand" or "proving a point" to the developers, or anyone, really. That's just capitalism for ya. It will still sell like crazy, I don't really see the point in making this such a big deal.
Good point. Capitalism at i's finest, never even thought of that.

Renegon, I wont continue to support the company except for the DLC which is what I resolved to buy since I love Mass Effect but I am disgusted with how they ended the third game in the trilogy. That said, I am done buying their products after the DLC.
They could be the best games ever made and I wouldn't care. It's a matter of principle. Bioware has cast many of their fans aside. Good for you and other people if you want to continue supporting them and are satisfied. But I am very angry with how they have ended this series and I am even more angry with how they have treated Harbinger. That ridiculous comment about not being too attached to a story line really pisses me off.
Buying their DLC makes them more profit than buying their games. You know that right?
Mass Effect games : 30-40 hours content. Sell at 60 bucks
Mass Effect DLC: 2-3 hours of content. Sell at 10 bucks.

I feel the same way, but I have seen people who claim they didn't like ME3, but they just want to see what will happen with the DLC. Some say they'll watch it on Youtube and if they like what they see, they will buy it. This makes absolutely no sense to me.

You're not an idiot OP. You have a very valid point and I support this post. I'll take the DLC but beyond that, I am done with this company. If people don't want to believe it, then that's there issue. I have the conviction to stand up for what I believe in. I don't believe in corrupt, evil companies but as I do love Mass Effect, I'll get the DLC and that's it.

Not buying their stuff won't do anything to them. Trying to convince others to do the same is stupid. You won't be changing anything with your actions, you should be happy that Bioware released the extended cut.
You know, you sound a little like a Communist. Praise the Leader, be happy for the Leader, the Leader has only our good on his mind. I don't think you grasp the idea of revolution.
Not that I am calling this little thing a revolution, mind you; that would be pathetic. But doing nothing because you expect nothing will change is just stupid.
Mathy16 wrote...
It is very rare a big company would listen to their fans and revision what they originally intended. I guess some people will never be happy.
When exactly has BioWare listened to their fans? They listen to the sweet melody of the money.
Mathy16 wrote...
If you're done supporting Bioware you can delete your account instead of "making a stand". I won't come back to argue with you because I have no intention to convince you.
I have the right to discuss the products I acquired. I see no reason why I should stop talking about the games I own even though I don't intend to buy next releases.

It is quite simple, stick it to the man. However, since this is a public forum, if the OP is offended by people telling him to stuff his boycott, he should have maybe made a blog, that nobody will read, and then he won't get trolled for it.LucasShark wrote...
It really is quite shocking how few people understand the basic principal behind a boycott...
It's more the "well what's the point", "Haha you think they'll notice" or "I'll buy it anyway" attitudes I'm referring to here.

Of course it makes no sense to you. Some of those people didn't like ME 3 simply because the ending left them flat, and they couldn't disassociate that feeling with the rest of the game. Others simply didn't like it. I liked it fine right up until I survived getting nuked by Harbinger. Because I did, I will buy more DLC because I want more story to like. This means that, despite how many of these threads people post, my attitude will be the same: When you're paying for my gaming habit, you can dictate what I do and don't buy. Until then, join the "We Hate BioWare" unfanclub, and post in their private forum, where a moderator will give you a gold star, or maybe a silver one, because frankly this is, off the top of my head, the fourth thread I've seen exactly like this one. Somebody feeling all entitled by their negativity telling everybody else what they should or shouldn't do with their money.RenegonSQ wrote...

Well, yeah. Seems pretty obvious to me. Why buy DLC for a game you don't like!?
There are some people who are upset, but they are going to buy the DLC "just to see", and I don't think that makes any sense. Not that it's wrong, but I don't seem to get it or see any sense in it.
Nah, those are the people who are going to watch videos of it online to see if they want to buy it later.
