Running back for another kick in the nuts rings not ignorant, but mentally challenged.

Logic to this post went thataway ------------------>  So if somebody actually liked most of the game, they should jump on your bandwagon and not buy DLC?  I know I have better things to do with my time than spend a couple of hours watching a video on youtube.  I'm glad your schedule is that free, but mine really isn't.

If you can quote me saying that I wanted people who liked the game, not to buy DLC for the game, then we can end this little debate.

If I buy a book I don't get all pissy and tell them to change the chapter I don't like. I either carry on reading or I don't. It's the author's creation, I can't change that any more than you can. Plus the fact that EC was business doesn't change that it was still a nice thing to do and they didn't have to.

Bad example. See Mass Effect: Deception.

Wasn't exactly ‘a nicething to do' either.

Ok, a book was a bad example. But can you see what i'm trying to say? If they want to do it wrong, there isn't much you can do to stop it. Telling them to change something they created isn't going to help really.

Actually, this is a good example. You don't tell an author to change a chapter, you either just stop reading, or you don't buy another book from the author. Or maybe you do, but you do so with caution because you know t he author has the tendency to write things that you don't like. This is the point here

Except that with Deception it's being rewritten (at least Bioware says it is). And didn't Sherlock get resurrected?

Are we comparing a game you found subpar compared to your expectations to wars and movements that changed the rights of human beings?

Not sure you want to go there.

Agreed. liggy, this thread isn't about that. Lets not go there, please.

Not really, if you have experience & research under your belt. You'll know when you're walking into a trap or not. YouTube is a great place for upcoming warnings too.

If you're really pissed about what has happened to the series, don't buy the DLC and stop supporting Bioware and EA. That is all. I'd love to see if anyone else is going to take a stand or how they feel about it. Lets not have this go off-topic, though.

I agree with you, but unfortunately there are two things. As you can see by the posts in this thread, some ppl on BSN don't really understand the conept of activism through consumerism (or the lack of the same) and sending the message via that certain activism. Their love for the franchise will overcome perception of need for any form of "stand your ground" activism. Even though, considering "the big picture", boycotting this DLC would be preferable both to the EA and BioWare and even the fanbase.

Now, because of this, BioWare has us at disatvantage here. They know that we are all fans of Mass Effect franchise, and most of us will buy additional piece of Mass Effect lore no matter what it is and no matter how they approach the fanbase, problems with the endings, that particular DLC and similar issues.

In the long run, this might decrease the quality of any upcoming BW product, because essentially, fanbase will buy anything as long as it has Mass Effect logo on it. Thus the fanbase is not forcing BioWare to really re-evaluate what are they doing right or wrong.

Prime example of emotions taking place over reason in market interactions.

Yet it's free enough to play the game for that same amount of time?

Yes, because actually sitting down and playing a game is a lot more entertaining that watching a video of somebody else doing it.  I can't stand to watch baseball on TV, but I love to go to the stadium to watch it, it's like a completely different sport.  The same holds true for basketball.  Not sure why, they are both the same, and frankly, you can see more of a baseball game on TV, but it's been that way for me since TV's were black and white.

I already bought the Bioware points. I've been looking forward to Leviathan since it was leaked.

So now a game is incomplete just because you don't like it?

No, it is incomplete because it is. Sure, ME1 and ME2 were similiar in this fashion, i.e. Shadow Broker and Take Down the Sky (used models they couldn't before deadline), but in ME3 it is overwhelming.

ME3 was just very rushed and thus ended up incomplete in my eyes.

But, once again, that is my opinion only.

Sometimes you've got to send people a message and not let them walk all over you even if your individual decision doesn't matter in the grand scheme. You've got to fight for what you believe in.

Right, now back to the REAL world.......

The war of Independence was very real and so was Martin Luther King.

But this is a f*cking video game forum.  God, if anything needs to be attributed to First World Problems, it's this whole debacle.  Someone make that meme of the girl crying, and give it the caption of "ME3 wasn't exactly how I expected it to be!"

Anyone supporting Bioware after the ending mess by buying DLC like this are as much to blame for ruining this once great series.

Such a damn shame.

Depends on who's playing it. But I thought you meant you didn't have enough time to do anything for that long. Apologies.

Great point. This is something that didn't cross my mind before making this thread. In a way I wish it would have, but I am glad I didn't because the thread did generate some interesting debates.

While I could agree about that if I was watching tutorials on how to be vanguard, which may take me more than several hours to figure out, no, it's just that I can spend that time more productively, and no apology necessary.

It's going to be subpar at best, just more banshee spam like in Priority Earth from the looks of it.
If they added more enemies and more actualy gameplay then maybe, but this is just sad.
I'm still a fan of Bioware, but i'm not a sheep like most of the people here who eat this **** up with a spoon and beg for seconds.

Not buying their stuff won't do anything to them. Trying to convince others to do the same is stupid. You won't be changing anything with your actions, you should be happy that Bioware released the extended cut.

You know, you sound a little like a Communist. Praise the Leader, be happy for the Leader, the Leader has only our good on his mind. I don't think you grasp the idea of revolution.

Not that I am calling this little thing a revolution, mind you; that would be pathetic. But doing nothing because you expect nothing will change is just stupid.

To all the trolls, as I've already stated, I could care less what you do with your money. You either support this or you don't. Many people in this thread have been mature enough to respond accordingly, while others just try to "annoy me". Here's some news, you can't annoy me with what you decide to purchase. Buy whatever you want, lol.

Dude, keep the "Oh, you liked this or will buy that, so that automatically means that you're blindly supporting everything" crap to yourself.
