Isn't this section of BSN for the Bioware STORE? Why is there a bunch of football threads? :?

Yeah... the mods really have to keep a more watchful eye. I reported some of the topics earlier today. This is out of control...

They seem so adept at closing threads in the ME3 forums... but it takes them forever to clean up two pages worth of spam...

No one at Bioware takes the forum seriously, or there would be a better answer than this one:

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/6/index/13771963

AFAIK, Stan is no longer employed at Bioware, is only a volunteer, like the majority.  I wouldn't know of any moderator who works weekends by name, I don't think.

Yeah, I sent Chris a pm about it yesterday but I doubt anyone will be by at all to clean it up. The store forum is very low priority to them. If we are lucky, someone from the actual store will notice and have Jed clean it up.

I see you complaining, yet only 1 person sent me a message to say that there were spammers here. So instead of complaining, maybe try to help in the future? Just sayin'

I reported at least 3 topics. When nothing happened for days, that's when I complained. ;)

Complaining raises mods attention :P

In all seriousness, I should have messaged a mod after I made the thread, sorry.

Doesn't the report button send a message to all the mods? I reported a few of the members/bots spamming.

My experience with the "report button" is that it is now useless.  When the forum was new, and you used it, EA sent an acknowledgment (a 'bot form, but it showed they had received it), and then passed it on for Bioware to handle.  Now, when you try to make such a report, I don't think it goes anywhere at all.  It CERTAINLY doesn't result in any corrective action at all.

(There had been a PILE of SPAM in the Points Forum that had been there for days.  I reported that when it was new, and Stanley Woo knew it was there several days ago, because I told him it was.  It took until yesterday to get rid of it.)

Aww ^_^  You noticed my pm and responded!  Thanks Chris.  I am actually genuinely happy.  I figured my pm ended up being buried in the mountain of pms you must get on a weekly basis. Image IPB

So what is Chris the only person who does anything now? Theres a massive list of mods below and the report button obviously doesn't do anything so how am I to know who to message? Am i just to message every mod till someone does something? Its a joke anymore.

Doubt he will read this or any posts on this thread unless someone sends him a PM...

There is a brand new SPAMMER starting right now. You can try a PM to him and see if it gets fixed.

 Sent Chris a PM.
Until then... I'd say this characterizes the situation quite well.

To clear up some issues surrounding the report button, from John Epler , this applies to spam aswell,

Hey all,

There's some confusion as to exactly what the 'report'
button does. What it actually does is send a report to the EA community
staff. However, as they receive a lot of reports across a number of
different forums, it can sometimes take a while for them to respond.

If
a user is being abusive, hostile or violating the rules, please PM a
moderator. We want these forums to be a place where people can discuss
our games in a civil, respectful fashion, and letting a moderator know
when a user is violating these rules is your best course of action in
ensuring that this remains true.

To reiterate - if a user is
violating the site rules, or is simply being hostile, don't engage. Just
PM a moderator and then continue your discussion.

Thanks!

If you see a spammer in a particular forum, look at the list of names of mods for the forum and send a PM to one in the affected area. You can send them to Chris Priestly, but as the Community Manager, he has a busy schedule and can't respond to everything.
