Hi

I've got Mass Effect 3 via Origin, but I'm unable to get it to start up. It gives me the Origin "launching Mass Effect 3" message, the computer seems to think for a few seconds, then nothing happens.
I get no error message. No Firewall message. Nothing. The game just doesn't start up.

Its not installed in the same Drive as Origin itself, but since Old Republic Online is installed on the same drive and loads perfectly fine via the Origin menu, I dont think its that which is causing the problem.

I've tried repairing the install too.

Has anyone else encountered this?

1. Right click the Windows task bar and click Task Manager.
2. Click the Processes tab.
3. Click the header of the first column to sort by name
4. Click on each of the following in turn and hit End Process:
a. MassEffect3.exe
b. EACoreServer.exe
c. Origin.exe
5. Start ME3 directly without going through Origin

Thanks for that, unfortunately it doesnt seem to work. The first two processes aren't showing in my task manager, and when I try to start ME3 directly, via the .exe, it wants me to log into Origin, which then doesn't start up the game.
