I don't like cockroaches...(who does?), but I find this particular species to be very interesting.
They look disgusting, like all cockroaches...but under a fluorescent light...voilá!! Its glow isn't without a purpose...it's as mean of self-defense, imitating a poisonous beetle.
They're probably extinct, which is a pity. Curious creatures, nevertheless.

Besides...they totally look like jawas.

Right, since I don't want this to look like spam, and since I understand that there's not too much to talk about a bioluminescent cockroach (as curious as it may be), then I'll rename the topic.
Do you like insects? Which are your favorite ones?

A lot of them are not something I want inside the house but there are some very pretty looking insects out there.
Not creepy or a nuisance, just pretty. Butterflies are beautiful but there are beetles that look good too.

This is a beetle that I find very nice looking and almost not 'insect like'

Jawa's filthy scavangers, better of dead, always stealing myy driods..

But yes Preying Mantis, Scorpions, rhinoceros beetle, and the japanese rhinoceros beetle, its a much larger brother to the typical one, and is not found wrecking havoc in my state. In fact alot of plants and animals from Japan and China adapt rather well to my state, part of why such harsh import/release laws are in effect, though to little effect, they are firmly established and pushing out the native species. Be it the Beetles, Koi, even Bamboo.

Spiders, all their eyes make it look so cute.

Ants. Because they are just amazing. Similar to us when it comes to colonies and cities.

The samurai of the insect world. Once, I saw one of these catch a moth straight out of the air and tear its head off.

Dragon flies I just love, love love. Spiders as well. They both feed on worse pests.

There are so many cool insects out there. I'd hate to have to pick a favorite, but there are some good picks above.

As long as they are not in my apartment or otherwise close to me, I like most of them just fine. If they do sneak up on me, I scream like a little girl and run away.

Some jerk has to point out that spiders are not insects. That jerk is me.

EDIT: My LEAST favorite insect is the common European hornet. I don't like them, and they don't like me. The difference is that I never attack them.
