A 20+ hour dialogue heavy video game compressed into a 2 hour film. I am being generous with time, cant see it having the budget of a 3 hour epic film.

A better question would be what do you think will be cut.. IMO it will get Freddy Kruger'd.

I can see Wrex, Tali and Garrus just having cameos.

No rachni, thorian or Liaras mum. Just Start of game, find Liara, Virmie(highly cut no mention of genophage) and Ilos.

Citidel will probably be in it for 5mins to show of CG like Green Lantern.

etc.etc.


It will have the name Mass Effect just don't expect it to follow the story.

I think this movie needs to be officially scrapped, for the good of the species.

That said, I don't see this thing ever coming out of preproduction anyway. Good riddance.

I always figured Michelle Rodriguez for Ashley and if they were using a femshep clearly the only choice would be Milla Jovovich!

Am I the only here who laughed his *** off when I saw this? Ellen Page as Ashley Williams? Why do I have to be the one to bring this up? Because as far as thinking of actresses that can be so horribly miscast as a character, Ellen Page as Ashley is pretty far down there. I mean REALLY far down there.

I mean I like Ellen Page, but there is an event horizon of awfulness if OP seriously thinks Ellen Page should play Ashley Williams. Screw it let's just have Michael Cera play Shepard while we're at it.

Mathew Fox as Shepard and Michelle Rodriguez as Ashley. Both fit the role pretty well. I would love for Peter Jackson to direct but he's too busy with The Hobbit ( as he should be! ). My second choice would be J.J Abrems.

Now I've been thinking about this for some time, on who I think should lead. In order for this project to be successful, I call upon Christopher Nolan to direct and JJ Abrams to produce. 

Christopher Nolans marketing talent and storytelling grandeur has been proved time and time again with Batman, Inception, and Momento. By mixing his style from previous films whilst mixing the pot with this and sci-fi elements. 

JJ Abrams as producer because of the intimidatingly stylish Bad Robot Productions, from films such as Star Trek and Cloverfield (the first film to actually make me scream out loud, like a schoolgirl, in the theater), while extracting his visual expertise from star trek with the help of Industrial Light and Magic Studios. 

Cast should be easy: 

Ellen Page as Ashley Williams

Karl Urban as Kaidan Alenko 

Idris Elba as David Anderson

Seth Green as Joker (Robert Downey Jr. if he backs out) 

All voice actors to reprise roles in CGI Motion Capture 

I'm not deciding yet who I think should play Shepard. That is up to all of you. 

What do you guys think? 

Shepard should not be in the movie otherwise it will destroy the point of us having different shepards unless they're making a female shepard version and a male shepard version with renegade or paragons versions intact

Most of the voice actors can be their character, Anderson for example, even Mark Meer.

As for Ashley, the detective from The Dark Knight or the Sheriff in Eureka are great. Kaidan's tough though, Aliens MUST still be the voice actors, since they're probably gonna be CGI (District 9 anyone)
