I wonder if Xbox and PS3 players tend to actually name their characters more, seeing as slamming onto their keyboards is not an option...

The best one I've did was name a Quarian Female Infiltrator Mariko vas Lady. It's a homage to the character Mariko in the book Shogun and the Lady is a ship the protagonist made in her honor.

I name my Cerberus Adepts I, II, II, IV etc.
I just thought it was neat considering they were pretty much escaped experiments.
Everyone else I just give them names like 'BUBBLES!!!' for my Justicar, "KABOOOM!!!!" for my Fury, and "STABBY!" for my Shadow. Despite the fact she doesn't really stab, just slashes.

I call my Geth Infiltrator "HK-47" and Geth Engineer "Mr. Roboto," "Cyrax," or "Sektor."

My N7 Demolisher is "Michelle Bay."

My N7 Destroyer is "War Machine."

My Human Soldiers are "G.I. Joe/Jane."

My Cerberus Vanguard/Adept is "Scorpion" and "Indiana Jones." Colored accordingly.

It's an option. 
USB keyboards work with both Xbox and PS3.  There's actually a bit of software tha comes installed as bloatware on Sony Vaio laptops to use one as a PS3 keyboard too

I call my Destroyer "McBain" ("Ice to meet you!") and my Vorcha is "Snarf". Most of the human characters, I just use generic names like "Joe" or "Bob".

Okay, a few others have also thought of naming their Geth 10010110110 or similar.
Otherwise, I like to go with the most unfitting names I can think of.
Like old-fashioned German ones, e.g. Günther, Herbertus, Luitgard or Uschi.
Or Knuffelwuffel ("cuddly wuddly") for a Vorcha.

I don't why we have to name out character that dose not show up on screen. Well here is my list.

Soldier: Turian Sula Vorcha Rex. Adept: Human Adept MrTaskMaster (Because he has the lash and I love it). Female Human Engineer: Heartless. Sentinel: Turian Julius, Krogan Broxt. Infiltrator: Quarian Lili, Geth Geth. Vanguard: Krogan BattleMaster, Zorks.

What they should done is have our handles in the lobby (If you call that a lobby) and results and have our character name out in the game and the results what they done.

Further note: I have be careful what I think or complain about next time. Early last week i was complaining about not get any Krogans. Well I got my wish. A Krogan Battlemaster Tuesday night and Krogan Sentinel Saturday night.

I don't know if these have been said already, but I named my Geth Engineer system32 and my Geth Infiltrator Contrast>9000.

But now that I think about it, I'll name my Infiltrator Joe after I promote, so I'll be playing as G.I. Joe.

N7 Demolisher - Diannomite  (TNT, and I'll win the fight)
Batarian Soldier - Bayhem / Batarryhem  (everything must explode while I slow walk away)
Female Quarian - Charo  (cuchi cuchi)
N7 Paladin - Ser Gregor  (cold hearted Knight thats hard to kill)

If the names didn't reset after promoting, I would keep giving each character a unique name but since it still happens, I just stick to single letters and numbers now.

I had a lot of purple in the Slayer appearance option and he does look kind of feminine, so he was called Princess, but ima gonna call him Kerry King this time.

The fury was all black with red lights, so she couldnt possibly have any other name than: Darth Furry

And of course, that all around awesome name for all others:

Not clever, but my last two N7 Paladins were Stanley Tucci and Dudley Dursley, I couldn't even tell you why, they were just the names that popped into my head at the time.

I always wish I could see other people's character's names in lobbies.
