Actually leaked dialogues from Leviathan DLC has some clues about how it looks. Someone from squadmates (I think it's Liara) says that she don't want to some creature with tentacles to enter Shepard's brain.
And here is more: we already saw some tall thin creature in game and I think you know who it is:
Game never tells us that Ilos Statues are representation of Innusanon race, so I think that Leviathan is look like Proto-Reaper made from this race.
That's supposed to be the Innusanon (sp?), the species that was around before the Protheans. Javik confirms this when he talks about Ilos. He says something along the lines of "Protheans built a city on top of the ruins from the previous cycle."
And if these statues were to be the leviathans then that would be the 3rd time they've been retconned. In ME1, these statues are supposed to be Protheans. Come ME3, however, Bioware decided to change things up.
Also, if one of Shepards squadmates does indeed say that, it's quite possible Leviathan is a reaper "core" with no exterior shell and its attacks are maybe telepathic/telekinetic perhaps.
We'll find out this tuesday, but I think that Bioware noticed some dissatisfaction about ignoring the Ilos Statues.
If I'm right and this is representation of Leviathan's race than:
- It will justify ignorance of Ilos statues
- It will justify presence of this ex-protheans in beacon visions (reasons are spoiling, so I won't say it)

However, my bet's on a Proto Reaper, like someone else said.

Leviathan is another thorian.
I thought of that when that doctor was controlled by something. Then I thought, 'wait how can a 20 metre tall plant kill a 2km Reaper?'

Maybe that one was just a baby thorian or somthing
I think it will just be a big organic that looks somewhat like a reaper.

a large, humanoid figure.
Depending on how you look at it...
The body could be its head, and the head could be a hanar-like bump...
Or it could be humanoid...
And at least in some point of the narrative Leviathan is believed to be a rogue reaper...

Javik clearly states that in his cycle the Hanar were just little jellyfish in the ocean, nothing more.
They were only a primitive race.

I was going to say nobody said it was actually the hanar, but then I looked through the thread and someone did...

How do you know he doesnt resemble a Reaper, but more organic?......
If Leviathans were the creators, and then became the Reapers, I wouldn't be surprised if Leviathan looks like a giant cuttlefish
Like this?
110% AGREED.
Why do you think there is a water world in this dlc?
