Do you get jealous/angry/suspicious if you're not in 1st?

I know it's wrong, and it's usually unfair to judge someone's contribution to the team by looking at their score, but that doesn't stop my competitetive half from constantly striving to be at the top of that list, pressing start during any downtimes to check if I've still got a good "lead".
There's no way to say this without sounding like a smug jackass, but since I got my Valiant in the first commendation pack I ever opened, I was getting first place for weeks on end. I can specifically remember the one match where I lost for the first time since getting that rifle. It was to a fellow Quarian Infiltrator also using the Valiant on Firebase White Geth Gold, in the days before the grab strategy was widely known (we were both perched at the top of the ladder for the duration of the match), and the final score difference was less than 1000 points. It was also the first time I felt compelled to send a "gg" to a teammate.
I haven't changed my loadout much since then. I switched to a Geth Infiltrator spec'd for damage as soon as it was released, and I've stuck with that ever since. Since the nerfs that were inflicted on both Hunter Mode and the Tactical Cloak, I've ended up in 2nd a few more times... but I'll be the first to admit that both those powers needed it.
But I still find myself getting either angry or suspicious if I'm not in first by the end of Wave 3. My first assumption is that the person beating my score has found an overpowered combination (and yes, I know how bad that logic is), or is using some other kind of exploit. If I die, I'll immedietely spectate the top player and judge if what they're doing is kosher, or if I'm just not doing as well as I should be doing.
Anybody else feel like airing out their nastier competitive side thoughts?

When I see a GI with a Piranha equipped, I just accept that I'm just gonna be in the supporter role that game.

Even "kill stealing" is fine. As it's a team effort. I call it "Kill helping". But sometimes I hate it when people use rockets when they REALLY didn't need to.

Nah, not really. I get angry when I work a Atlas/Phantom/Prime/Banshee all way down to two bars of health and someones else gets them.
^This. Especially if I'm running around with a vorcha. I think I have lost count on how many times this has happened to me. I used to get all in a huff about not getting first but I've let go of that recently because I know my limits and how I play. If I get first, so be it, if I don't, eh, I know how much I did in that match even if the score doesn't reflect that.

Yeah it use to frustrate the hell out of me. Now, I just get a little upset unless it happens 2 to 3 times by the same person. The Krauser wrote...

I mean, if I see someone has done more damage to the bosses and they have little health left, I will stop and let them have it.
I wish more people though like that.

I feel concerned if I'm last. Don't like to feel like a burden, probably shouldn't either, but can't help. Also, I do get angry when people fire proxi-mines directly at a phantom or banshee when they have teammates using flamer/incendiary. Proxi-mines proc the hand of denial, no damage or debuff goes through, and your teammates' DoT goes to hell.
That reminds me of another shameful trick I pull if I'm close dropping to 2nd on the last wave.
Even if everybody is safely in the extraction zone and the dropship is just about there, I'll use one last rocket to secure my position in first place.
Again, I know it's stupid... and it is actually further proof that the final score doesn't truly reflect how helpful you were to the team.

I tend to stay in those lobbies because I feel like the team is solid.

Well, that's a little much. I hardly run into anyone who cares about score. Everybody just cares about the credits.Vercuric wrote...

Although, there have been times where I'm lagging big-time and I still make first, so it's all good.

I dislike it when people start drawing too many conclusions on score alone and start calling them liability. I mean, I could be running a sniper role and shooting enemy shields off or shooting other sniper type enemies from distance the other players move forward.
Imo, they should be looking at how many times they need to revive and if the guy isn't trying to do objectives.

No. If the team sucks I will go for 150 and 200 and more if needed. I will use all my rockets and medigels and ops packs if I gotta win. Unless the team really pissed me off and or are obvious leechers/scumbags.

As far as I've seen, people don't care about your score if you do your role and don't die a lot. But that's from personal experience. And sometimes dying a lot can't be helped if your team isn't working together and you're being shot at from every angle.

For the most part its just healthy competitions. But I have some friends that can beat me by about 20-40k points. Another reason why I like being one of the top scorers because it feels like I'm not killing much and can't kill as much because my better teammates is mopping everything up and kinda making the game a little boring if I can't seem to participate much. Unless the scoreboard is generally even, being in 3rd or 4th is just boring for me, like I'm lagging behind or can't really get any kills in edgewise. Which is quite rare and only if I'm off my game or experimenting.

Seriously, guys. Don't take a Platinum worthy setup to silver. A well-used Fury has a guaranteed 1st place in a silver match, and that's frustrating for the rest of the team. I guess something similar is true about Destroyers and Geth Infils with Piranhas.
That's why I don't play silver that often anymore. I never see, say, human adepts topping the scoreboard, or human engineers. It's always N7 characters. Come on, people.

If I'm leading the scoreboard by a wide margin then the other players aren't killing fast enough.

If there's a silver lining to it all, it's that I don't particularly care about credits. I never farm, but I don't have anything against people that do. But if I had to come up with a number to gauge how much fun I've had, it makes more sense to me to look at personal score rather than personal credits. For example, I can confidently say that those matches where I had a >40 KD in Battlefield 3 were probably the ones where I had the most fun.
I try to find lobbies that are exclusively Unknown/Unknown, so I can "prove" to myself that I can still get 1st against any enemy on any map.... usually resulting in a rough go if the enemy happens to be Geth on Firebase Glacier.
