Do you get jealous/angry/suspicious if you're not in 1st?

There was this one time where I wanted to be first place really badly, it was against a G.I. who kept stealing every kill whether I was shooting at them or the other teammates. This was on silver difficulty. It was just annoying as hell and quite hard to stay on top because I was using a crappy weapon for fun at first. I was a Batarian sentinel playing against a G.I. with Widow X, his N7 rank was in the 800ish. We got very competitive. I kept biotic shockwaving him so he couldn't shoot straight and even got in his face (No mics, used my char and threw biotic shockwave). I did this on purpose. This went on for 10 straight waves.
The 10th wave objective was hack, that G.I. kept killing for points and wasn't helping much with the objective. As soon as he and the other 2 died off, I went for the objective and got first place at the same time. I completed it against the geth faction and got in a few extra kills before I died afterwards. I could of revived myself but I thought what's the point of using a medi-gel pack after I've completed the last objective. I got the credits and I also figure that G.I. wouldn't be able to catch up. I didn't send him a message or anything afterwards, but even if I did place second I wouldn't have sent him a message to complain about the annoying kill steals. It's just a game after all. But that was probably the only time i've ever wanted to be first place.

If someone outscores me, especially by a huge margin, I'm usually impressed - not angry. I like running with players who are better than me. Especially when I learn something from watching them. The random groups I remember most fondly...are the ones where I consistently placed third or fourth in multiple matches. Because everyone was kicking ass, and it was an awesome slaughterfest.

Because I do.
I know it's wrong, and it's usually unfair to judge someone's contribution to the team by looking at their score, but that doesn't stop my competitetive half from constantly striving to be at the top of that list, pressing start during any downtimes to check if I've still got a good "lead".
There's no way to say this without sounding like a smug jackass, but since I got my Valiant in the first commendation pack I ever opened, I was getting first place for weeks on end. I can specifically remember the one match where I lost for the first time since getting that rifle. It was to a fellow Quarian Infiltrator also using the Valiant on Firebase White Geth Gold, in the days before the grab strategy was widely known (we were both perched at the top of the ladder for the duration of the match), and the final score difference was less than 1000 points. It was also the first time I felt compelled to send a "gg" to a teammate.
I haven't changed my loadout much since then. I switched to a Geth Infiltrator spec'd for damage as soon as it was released, and I've stuck with that ever since. Since the nerfs that were inflicted on both Hunter Mode and the Tactical Cloak, I've ended up in 2nd a few more times... but I'll be the first to admit that both those powers needed it.
But I still find myself getting either angry or suspicious if I'm not in first by the end of Wave 3. My first assumption is that the person beating my score has found an overpowered combination (and yes, I know how bad that logic is), or is using some other kind of exploit. If I die, I'll immedietely spectate the top player and judge if what they're doing is kosher, or if I'm just not doing as well as I should be doing.
Anybody else feel like airing out their nastier competitive side thoughts?
Nope i can care less about my score. The only time score annoys me is if someone does somehting cheap to pass you (example missling 5 spawns on wave 11) or is using an "easy button character" (demolsiher and grenading spawn poins) then brags about ti psot game like they did somehting goodListen if you have to use 5 missles on wave 11 (which is a complete waste suing a missle on that wave really) to pass me by 500 points do you really feel the need to brag liek you did somehting good?
