Because Shepard isn't a Space Marine nor a Spartan. Thus I can't have any bad ass over design armor.

haha, but it would be great if bioware releases some DLC with more different armor choices (we got all the DLC choices from ME2 and the N7 Defender one is just you wearing James Vega's armor)

I suppose bioware should let us paint the armor SETS too (would be a nice start) and give the femshep also Asley's armor (I mean, the one that is actually her casual clothing)

If they want more players for ME3, they could invent "subclasses"- meaning more specialisation INSIDE a class, so you can focus better on your playstyle
Besides, so Bioware can add more powers for Shepard- Multiplayer does have some badass powers that we don't get to see in SP (like lash, smash, Devastator mode, barrier, and of course the Omni- shield)

And to whoever whines that the ME3 armors are not done well enough- you can't put in an extreme armor like that in2 ME3 it would look totally displaced

Some more armor pieces found during search ad rescue should be fine too- add more customization for shepard, like for example introducing the armor equipment and gear equipment that we know from ME3 multiplayer into singleplayer (shouldn't take a lot of efforts, since the concept was already done in MP)

More than one time I found myself looking at my chars and thinking "this armor set I picked looks great on him/her", and frankly I don't recall doing that in many other games.

Ditto!

I prefer efficient looking armor design to ridiculous nonsensical walking tanks.

why Armor why cant i wear a nice pair of ACU's with just a vest, lol who cares about the armor, just add some of that mp armor to sp, I want more casual wear, and I want the squads to wear the outfits in the ship that you select in the menus like in me2. AND I WANT SHEPARD TO BE ABLE TO WEAR AN ALLIANCE BERET, is that so hard to ask, I know mods to it, but i want it official.

This.

I'm happy with the armor designs in Mass Effect. I just wish there were more of them.

Okay, obviously some of you aren't getting it. We're not asking for large, bulky, over-designed armors. We're asking for new, distinctly different ones. I mean seriously. Shep gets like, 8 visors, 4 open helmets, and 2 closed helmets. I don't think he needs more visors. Or more shoulders that look exactly the same. Or more legs that look generic. Or torsos that are incredibly under-elaborate. And do we even need a separate option for gauntlets?

You do know that, like I said before, Mass Effect armor looks really similar to Halo 3 armor.  I mean come on, the Securitel helmet looks exactly like the helmets Halo's marines wear.  Not to mention what a striking resemblence Anderson shares with Sgt Johnson.

It's funny, because the guy that voices Anderson is Keith David, and he also voices The Arbiter.

I know its a bad gaming comparison but I know what armor I would want.

I do too.  The Halo armor looks ridiculous.  It's got a freaking pikelstaub on the helmet.  Go look that up.  I'll give you a hint; it went out in WWI.  Defender armor looks fine to me; it's functional.  I'll take functional over costume party anytime.  Just my 2 cents.

They do make sense actually. They're powered exoskeletons that magnify a SPARTAN's abilities and number of magnatudes above what it already is.

The FOTUS (unicorn) armor comes with a preorder package. It's supposed to be flashy. If you're going to trash Halo armor, trash one that isn't a preorder incentive. It's for ballsy players that like to stand out in Multiplayer. This one looks like one of the basic armors, and actually seems a bit more functional: http://cdn.gamerant....Armor-Color.jpg

As opposed to Defender armor, which is just a recycled piece of useless crap. If you want to talk about practicality, tell me how Shepard manages to maintain a full range of motion with some of those freaking huge shoulders. He shouldn't be able to fully extend his arms out to his sides. This also means he shouldn't be able to perform most heavy melee attacks or swap for rifles. And can someone explain to me that plate of armor across the Defender armor's butt? Lol seriously, what IS that?

I stopped playing after Halo 2... and I'm glad I did. That looks like it came straight from a Japanese mecha.
No thanks.

Fret not, that's just one of the zanier customization options.

What I think he meant to post was this:

well, it would be nice to get an armor DLC- where you get a load of different armor (you will have to find it per exploration/missions, though), some new casual clothes would be fine too (just 2 or 3 additional ones)

This.

It always bothered me that the cerberus mooks looked more like a tank than the destroyer...

Just change the colors and slap on a helmet with a V screen (think Halo ODST armor) and everything would be right as rain.

The Cerbersu Trooper armor always reminds me of the FEAR Origins heavy replica

You know, I just realized...the Centurion's armor also looks cooler than anything the player can wear...

Which totally breaks the law of videogaming that says the playable character must, at all times, look cooler than the things he kills.

Please Bioware give us cool and more armor and gears and fully covered and closed helmets and armor sets. :) That be cool. I'm not a fan of Visors or half helemts, Halo 4 and some others have it better, even in Mass Effect Multiplayer there better than what we have in Singleplayer. Please Bioware. :)

The only... ONLY thing I want is the phantom helmet... dem eyes.. i just love the red lines for eyes design on cerberus helmets, but the phantom helmet is perfect. I swear i'd buy a customizable cerberus armor pack DLC , their armor is great. The cerberus armor on ME2 was also the best looking armor in game

You joking, right? ME" Cerberus armor was... weird. Can't off the helmet, can't feel the move. And when Shep get a drink with in that armor... :o
Also weird we never saw that armor any Cerberus trooper.

But back to the armors. I like ME3 collection of armors. I got the Defender and Reckoner too and buy every piece and full armor in the shops. Can't choose from them, really. But BW anytime can made an armor pack DLC.

And about the best sci-fi armor ever, check this one:

I love Mass Effect Armors, but wish there was a broader selection, as for Halo.. just admit you guys love their armor designs.

A little off subject as for Shepard, but all the Alien designs were awesome, Elite's armor, even the Grunt's iconic armor. I jsut wish for more armor customization.
