I love Mass Effect Armors, but wish there was a broader selection, as for Halo.. just admit you guys love their armor designs.

A little off subject as for Shepard, but all the Alien designs were awesome, Elite's armor, even the Grunt's iconic armor. I jsut wish for more armor customization.

As opposed to armor for Turians and Krogans which all look relatively the same.  The only real cosmetic variations are color.  That and Garrus's armor in ME2 is shot to hell

This.

It always bothered me that the cerberus mooks looked more like a tank than the destroyer...

Just change the colors and slap on a helmet with a V screen (think Halo ODST armor) and everything would be right as rain.

I'd like to have a few Alliance colored Cerberus suits for Shepard (mainly the Centurion and the Engineer).

Also, I would like Bioware to give Shepard a "Default Off" option for the helmets.

I prefer efficient looking armor design to ridiculous nonsensical walking tanks.

Actually SPARTANs are heavy augmented with the suit as they getting dosed with enhancers and been training with the UNSC since the age of 6

And the Suit affects the user too as a normal marine can not wear Mark V/VI armor

I'd also like to point out that SPARTAN-II's are all genetically enhanced cyborgs.  Which is why they're all 7 feet tall and super-strong.
So they're sorta designed to be walking tanks.

My question is, why do ME soldiers even wear armor if it really doesn't offer much of any protection.

They do offer protection, have shield generators and apply small doses of medi-gel  when the soldier's hurt to keep him alive.

I know its a bad gaming comparison but I know what armor I would want.

I stopped playing after Halo 2... and I'm glad I did. That looks like it came straight from a Japanese mecha.
No thanks.

Halo is power rangers for adults.

Dude, Power Rangers is Power Rangers for Adults.

Not anymore. Have you seen how bad the new Power Rangers are?

You know, I just realized...the Centurion's armor also looks cooler than anything the player can wear...

Which totally breaks the law of videogaming that says the playable character must, at all times, look cooler than the things he kills.

I would imagine this would be down to opinion - in my view, the suit my Shepard wears (Kuwashii visor, Rosenkov chestplate, Kassa gauntlets, serrice shoulder pads and N7 greaves) is by far better than anything Cerberus wears because, ultimately, its a much better balance between practicality and coolness.

Cerberus armour looks good but I personally think they always look a bit weird when they're rolling and diving.

I would of loved to use the "Marine" armor that you can see on Kaidan and Vega. And also on the N7 Demolisher. It looks awesome functional, simple and all around "military".

EDIT: Also, that Spartan armor thing with the horns and all. Looks stupid. Like, really, really retarded. Long, pointy things that can snag on anything around you and make you more visible are the LAST things you want on combat armor.
I get the whole spartan thing, but me, I am a spartan III fan. SPI all the way!

I just explained that it's a preorder bonus
You people don't read

SPARTAN-III's are only superior in the respect that they don't need to be conditioned from a young age.
SPARTAN-II's are bigger, stronger, and overall better at what they do

Kaidan's armor is really over elaborate. He's a biotic. What could he possibly need all that gear for?

Because he's a soldier? Soldiers need stuff like ammo, rations, meds, other various equipment (duct tape is a godsend) Soldiers need places to put that stuff, POCKETS! Just because Kaidan is a biotic, doesn't mean he's an EHA marine. As impressive as biotics can get, guns do it better (or more efficently). Maybe not as awesome, though.
And I was commenting on the concept of that armor in general. Regardless of game or reason for it being in a game, THAT is just ridiculous. The Defender armor is pretty sweet, it looks functional, sleek and actually combat worthy.

And don't you know? You can never have enough pockets.

I wouldn't mind having the N7 Demolisher armor in single-player, as well as the Destroyer's T5-V Battlesuit (which looks better than Terminous Armor) and the Cerberus Pheonix armor as well.

This is all I'll be needing, to be honest. This would be nice too (in different colors):

If you don't know, that's the Predator Armor from ME and the top one is the Colossus Armor from ME.

Me too, definitely my favorite armor in ME3! I hope a DLC in the future will make this armor available for Shepard. :o

They don't need ammo.  Remember?
Besides, how often do biotics have to use guns in MP, for example.  Hell, you could clear most of the campaign with biotics alone.

In any case, I don't see how pointy horns are any worse than bright lights.  Nothing helps the enemy see you coming like a pair of big, red lights on your helmet

Looks lame honestly.

I'm not a big fan of power armors on Marines in Sci Fi. The Mass Effect armors look more practical.

Power armor is about as practical as it gets.  The military's working on it now, as a matter of fact.  A soldier that can carry more supplies, handle more armor, and is even deadlier in CQC, is a soldier wearing powered armor.
