You are the exception that proves the rule. If you have a low level character DO NOT play on gold ffs. I've seen few players doing that recently, and we have never reached wave 10. They ended up doing >20000 points, and it's frustrating as hell.  That's why I want the extraction to be required to get the credits earned.
I don't know how skilled are you, but if you join a room with a >17 character I will always try to kick you. Better safe than sorry.

So let me get this right, you are frustrated as hell because they scored greater than 20000 points and if a player is using a character who level is greater than 17 you kick them?

So in other words you are totally ok with a level 1 playing on gold as long as they don't score more than 20000 points., yay you, you win the internet :wizard:

Ummm guys?

The images are all fake.

1) The experiance gained doesn't match up with a gold game

2) Look at where it says what map/difficulty/faction he is on. See how it is all distorted? It's because he has taken the data from one game, and put it on another,

I can't believe everyone fell for this.

EDIT: OP, you are a bad person for lieing to everyone to make it seem like you are better than you really are.

Do i win a cookie for getting it first?

Ha ha ha, good try, but no those are real. No cookie for you:devil:.

The you should complain to bioware, since you are only getting 9625 exp for a gold game.

Also, why is there distortion on the map/faction/difficulty, as well as the credits and exp at the bottom, if the images aren't fake?

Screen is taken while the progressbar is moving, total xp is shown at the bottom. Image quality is due to uploading to BSN album, never again! Never! I uploaded fullscreen image but, they are using JPEG compression which makes text look like that.

Ah, okay.

Dammit, I wanted a cookie Image IPB

Better luck next time.;)

Updated other images for you as well, hope it looks better now.:wizard:

Yeah, much clearer.

May I ask what race you were with the sentinel? I like the class but I can never get it to 'awesome' level.

Doesn't really matter on level 1, but it was krogan sentinel. Any level 1 class will have that score with those weapons.

Well, Caratinoid you are a very good player, so I'm not really surprised. Carrying a gold game with a level 1 character is still quite the achievement.

A level 1 character with level III equipment shows the player will spare no effort to reach extraction. And for some weapon based characters there really isn't a major change in gameplay for being a level 1.

Thanks, I believe I played the same build with you (AV with GPS) and I don't think I was that much better at level 20 just didn't need cyclonic modulator that's all.

P.S. Don't be surprised if you see me bringing level 1 to the game next time, I have promoted everything during this weekend, some of it twice, have everything at level 1.

It's definitely not impossible, although unlikely with Randoms, because they tend to kick you from the lobby, if you enter with a Level 1 character.

So thanks for posting your results, maybe some of the Randoms will think twice in the future before hitting the kick button.

It's not too much fun for me to play with a Level 1 though, because of the few tricks you can do with the character. They all feel more like a Soldier than a specific class.

Anyhow, I usually safe my money until all my characters are Level 20, then I promote them all at once and after that I start buying 25 Recruit Packs (costing me only 125.000 credits). That usually brings every character back up to something between Level 4 and 7. After that I spend the rest on PSPs bringing everyone back up in the > Level 10 range (my characters are all Level 11 and 12 right now, except for the Vanguard still being at Level 7 and I haven't played since my promotion and shopping spree).

So this way I can start with fun characters again and end up with tons of Level I equipment which often enough does the job if you are looking for some Armor Piercing or Incendiary effect or want to buff your Fury a little with a Cyclonic Mod I.

it is sick how good you are; and with so many classes... you must have data running through your veins (or cheating - I will assume you're not. If you are, then you're the low of the cow crap that I occasionally step in). I am impressed

Weapons > all. This proves that.

Did a GI gold with a level 1 last night with Hunter Mode and TC, using a GPS.

Still broke 100K. Wish I had an SS. The entire team friended me on Origin. And I thought:

I'll accept your requests when my eyes recover from being blinded by my own awesomeness.

Then I realized I was using a GI with a GPS. And felt kinda ill.

Went about releveling my Soldier in goldtoday, slapped on Claymore, level 3/4 consumbales and shotgun amp V. Finished 2nd with 140k (behind a level 20 asari adept). The rest were 80k+ behind. Sweet 10 level-ups of win.

You take your Level 1 to the Store and buy some recruit packs.

I played almost an equal number of bronze and have yet to reach level 20 for one character. The other group is still at level 1 (the infiltrators). I only promoted 2 characters as I don't have too much time to play these days. Also trying to complete my 3rd round of SP asap.

I used to do it more, but nowdays I do a lot more level 1 at Bronze than Gold.  It's partly because I can just host a solo game and run through it ultra fast.  If I die, who cares.  Start again.  I can level up to 8-12 easily in 30 minutes.  I don't even use equipment.  Just gear up with Stronghold V, Wraith shotty (in case I miss with the first shot, the second shot will kill).  If I get a bad objective round, I try my best, but no need to revive.

Dealing with the public on kicking and such isn't worth it lots of times.

Really? People with level 20 characters can suck just as much as someone with a level 1.

At least they are a little more tanky and vicious. (I'm talking about those who join gold with a level 1 character without consumables).
And the extraction lasts 2 minutes. If your connection has not dropped yet, why should it drop in those two minutes?

+1

100K spent on recruit packs was worth it.  Despite the slow-ass store, getting all my classes to level 5+ and having a few power skillpoints to play with was more fun than pushing a level one through a silver/gold match.  Just because the best players can do it and top the score doesn't mean the other 95% could or should.

There is no real difference between level 1 classes except for little variation in shields and one or two very weak powers. They all play as soldier class. It's not that difficult really because your low health and shields are being compensated by taking cyclonic mudulator III and lack of DPS by taking level 3/4 consumables.

There maybe some who can handle gold as a level one, but the vast majority can't. Last night we did a gold match with a level 1, and not only was he a level 1 but he kept running off and doing his own thing. He killed under 25 Geth and we had to carry him, and then in round 10 he ignored the hack completely, died and we failed with 90% of the hack done.

If he'd been in the circle fo even a minute, we would have had it. It's not that we had to save him over and over or that he died every round, it's that he was so busy trying and failing to kill stuff that we cost us the big objective.

I think most people would be doing a disservice to their team by sending in a level 1, and OP may be an axception to the rule, but unless you're so good that you're able to hold your own without making it harder for the guys playing with you, level 1 should stick to bronze and silver.

I hate to say it, but I actually sort of get the guys who kick players under level 10. You're using disposable gear, spending 20+ minutes, and they usually get you killed 9/10 times.

Sounds like his was being a dick trying to score some exp but didn't have the skills to do it. Epic fail.
