Hello all,

I run ME3 on a Win7 64bit System, connection to my router is with a LAN cable. I also have the usual connection troubles when connecting, playing or after going to the shop and buying a package.

I tried the usual stuff like monitoring the used ports and explicitly opening those on the router, various configurations of router and its Firewall, turning FW off, various settings in windows and so on... didn't help, didn't make any difference.

Yesterday evening after yet another connection loss, I was again looking for any clue as to WHY it was lost and stumbled over the file "MassEffect3.log", located in "C:\\ProgramData\\Electronic Arts\\EA Core\\logs".

The content of the file is rather irritating at first since new data lines seem not to be added to the end of the list. Instead, the existing lines seem to be overwritten. However, I saw multiple lines containing, for example,  ' SERVER  [19:11:58:230]'  or 'CLIENT  [21:11:58:230]'

Client and Server time obviously are not the same.   I live in Vienna which is timezone UTC+1, also have windows update the clock and Summertime (Daylight Savings time for the americans) automatically.

I disabled NTP (automatic time update) and manually set the clock to UTC+0 . I also disabled the DST option and now had the same system time as the server had.

IT MIGHT BE JUST A COINCIDENCE, BUT...

Since then, there was NOT A SINGLE CONNECTION LOSS  :o !     I also immediately got EVERY PACKAGE I BOUGHT without having to restart the game. I also don't have to endlessly wait to enter a MP session. I have been playing late into last night and today since the late morning.

Again, it might just be coincidence, but...

Maybe some of you can check your Logfile for the times and also try it out?  If it really makes any difference, it might not be the solution for everyone having problems, but at least some of us.

My router has UPnP enabled at the moment. I don't have set ANY additional port forwarding rule, as it should be with UPnP.

No luck here. Got disconnected on wave 1, so that's new I guess.
