The combat in DA3 should be more akin to Dark souls than Ninja Gaiden

I've not played Dark Souls yet, but I played Dragon's Dogma (which has excellent combat, even if it's lacking elsewhere), and the fighting was much more enjoyable than either of the DA games. It wasn't as fast and 'cartoonish' as DA2 (rogues didn't fly around and teleport, two-handed weapons weren't thrown about like feathers), but it was far more exciting than DAO, with fluid movement and less clunkiness. I think they hit the right balance with that game.

Make it like Darksiders! Nothing beats having two scythes and the ability to turn into The Grim Reaper :D

I agree, I never used giant swords in DA2 because it was too hollywood style, doing fast movements using a giant sword was unappealing to me.

BioWare is the only company that makes party based RPGs. It's their niche.

Maybe the only "mainstream" company, but not the only company.

Legend of Grimrock was not a Bioware game. As far as I can tell, Wasteland 2 isn't a Bioware game either.

Legend of Grimrock is basically an old school dungeon crawl in the same vein as Dungeon Master, Ultima Underworld and Eye of the Beholder with very little interaction between party members. Therefore no romances, no party banter and no real influence over the companions other than leveling them up. It appeals to me but would not be most people's cup of tea  who like Bioware games for both the story, romances etc.

Wasteland 2 will not see the light of day until October 2013 at the earliest. So nothing to see yet. I believe it will be interesting because it has some of my favorite writers and designers. Ken St Andre, Michael Stackpole, Liz Danforth and Chris Avellone. I corresponded with Ken St Andre back when he ran the Adventure Construction Set Club. and had questions about Tunnels and Trolls, Stormbringer and Monsters! Monsters!. He also had a hand in the original Wasteland along with Stackpole. Alan Pavlish is back as one of the programmers.

Wasteland 2 will be interesting.

Legend of Grimrock is still a party based game though, even if it doesn't have character development for party members.

While Wasteland 2 will not be released until Fall 2013, it has already been confirmed as a party based game.

My point was that Bioware is not the only company who makes party based RPGs(just the most mainstream/well-known), so I used two well known examples who also make party based RPGs. (I could also use Obsidian as an example, but was a bit rushed)
