 Single player: tried many times to load different save files from different profiles (got 5 of them) and from different sections in the game but the game will keep loading for ever.
I noticed that the Hard drive indicator does work only at the start of the loading process, and then it turns off to get back on rarely and for a fraction of a second only.
I can go back to the XMB or shut the PS3 down pushing the PS button without any problems during the loading (no hard reset needed).
Everything worked fine when I played the Extended Cut at its lunch, the multiplayer works fine still...

Ok I tried to delete the game datas with the patch and DLCs and to start a new game: now I can play fine until the dialogue with Hakett after Priority: Mars, then the game loses audio, the subtitles and the scene continues until the dialogue with Liara (nobody speaks still) and then the game freezes everytime at the end of said dialogue (when the loading to enter the Citadel should start).
I had a couple of save files at the same spot before I deleted everything and re-installed the patch/DLCs and the problem was exactly the same...

Let me ask this: what the hell is going on? I cannot play the single player anymore? what's causing this?

Please somebody answer...

I figured this out myself and it was my own fault: I looked on the back of the game Disc and there was a scratch of dirt on it; cleaned that up and now I can play single player again and load any save file without a problem (performance is also better, less stuttering etc...).
Didn't think dirt could do so much damage!
